Maelstrom weapons are a set of ability altering weapons from the Maelstrom arena, a solo arena. There is a healing staff (eso-hub.com/en/sets/perfected-precise-regeneration) and a destruction staff (eso-hub.com/en/sets/perfected-crushing-wall). You can also look those up in your collection, if you just search for the maelstrom arena.
@@FakeFox Thank you good sir. Two more questions. Should i use maelstrom healing staff+MA destro or maelstrom destro+MA heal staff? And for destro staff frost or lightning? For hm dungeons.
Both combinations are possible, depending on what direction you want to push your build and how your sustain is. Master Restoration Staff is also an option if you aren't interested in dealing damage yourself. I would generally recommend lightning as the default, as its more generally useful. Frost becomes interesting if you want to provide minor brittle.
What a great video! But there's one thing I'm wondering myself, when is a good time to actually start healing during leveling a character? I never got much further in ESO but recently I gave a new try with the new classes and I really liked warden, also I always prefer playing healer than dps on MMOs so I wish I could get a few tips on how to level a healer while doing solo stuff and at what point should we shift to heals
I personally leveled most of my characters as healers from level 10, primarily doing random normal dungeons and quests for skill lines I would later need (Magesguild, Psijic etc.). Doing overland content also shouldn't be an issue, just slot in damage abilities you might later need for healing.
@@FakeFox thanks! That's helpful, in most MMOs I usually shift to healer about mid-game because too earlier makes it difficult to play solo and too late makes the learning curve too hard but ESO is so overwhelming sometimes I find it difficult to step in ... But this time I'm committed to my lizard boi healer
Medium armor makes your heals stronger the numbers will be greater and max stamina pool, that’s why we go for medium helms and or shoulders. Light armor gives more max magic, crit chance and penetration which is why we go with it on body pieces. All very beneficial for pve. Heavy will give you more max health and resistance which is more optimal for pvp healing.
The percent healing increase is very restrictive for a minimal healing output increase over just more base stats. The sustain passive is relatively weak, unless you need both ressources, and terrible for any build that needs to control ressources, such as Pearls or MK.
Ja, Blitzblockade, Rune, Zorn des Winters. Präzise als Offhealer mit Blitzstab Frontbar. Als Fullheal erfüllt auf der Backbar. Was meinst du mit Barriere?
hey fakefox, First off I really like/appreciate the presentation on these. I'm still wondering a bit about Stave Types considering their respective status effect. While Ice-Staves provide Brittle and therefor lead to better uptimes I'd assume, Lightning staves can proc Off-Balance and therefor make Use of the Exploiter Slottable on DD's. So I would be under the assumption, if you for example have a Brittleden in Group your Brittle uptimes will be already great so it would be better to run lightning staves in general. However, as i also look into a lot of logs out of interest to check how composition plays together (support dds, healers, tanks). I was looking at the "Medioacracy" Log from Dreadsail reef and i'm wondering if its also common, that for example 1 healer runs Ice and the other Runs Lightning, at least in fights where both healers take more or less the same spot? (in that case Taleria) And would you say in Trash Healers should always run Lightning for Off-Balance?
I would say in most scenarios the element is close to irrelevant. 1. Exploiter is not optimal for sustained DPS and therefore usually only used in trash. Groups then tend to use Ruinous Scythe for off balance, because it is instant and reliable. 2. Minor vulnerability can be a good reason for a lightning staff, when there is no other effect providing it already. In trials this is almost never the case, but in dungeons it can happen. This doesn't apply to Warden though, since you have Fetcher Infection. 3. Getting minor brittle from a healer is more of an emergency option, I think. Since it only proccs on the Ice Staff bar it requires micromanagement and is difficult on multiple targets. At least in trials it's usually not an issue for someone else to do brittle.
@@FakeFox interesting, also wondering if the meta will shift in necrom so we will see Nightblade/Arcanist healer combo - As arcanist beside of minor courage has a Skill in their Toolkit which provides Minor Vuln + Brittle for 20s
I think Arcanist will be really strong, however, I predict Warden and Nightblade will stay the most common combination as, out of the three, Arcanist support is least tied to the healer role and, as far as I have seen, the class seems to also be strong as DD/tank.
You mean Siphon Spirit? I included it as general support but didn't specifically talk about it, if I remeber correctly. It's totally viable, but not overly relevant. It's quite slot and GCD efficient in dungeons, if both effects are needed, but that's about it.
Awesome video as always! I have a question about pearls. What traits and enchants on your jewlery would you use when using pearls? Infused seems to be clear winner but I've heard a bunch of different enchants from cost reduction to alchemical acceleration
In my opinion, spell/weapon damage or magicka regeneration work best. Cost reduction, even when mathematicaly better, feels worse to play to me. Alchemical acceleration is only good for NB, because of the 10 ultimate for every potion, but it sucks to play. It's rather weak and makes sustain inconsistent.
Yes. Nightblade has far better ultigen passives and can get a lot of healing power out of that build. With RoJo on Warden you can play all your class support and still have enough head space to brittle, kite, interrupt or whatever.
You heal more then enough with regular skills, so you should use your ultimate for something that you otherwise can not provide. On the defensive side Barrier is way better than any healing ult, because the shield provides a distinct advantage over healing (surviving one shots) and we can not provide strong shields with regular abilities.
Yes. You only need RO on one bar and Jorvuld's benefits from being on both. Jewelry or body doesn't matter as both sets are light, but RO drops golden jewelry, so it's more convenient.

quick question when it comes to the sets in the video are the primary sets always on the body and secondary on the backbar/front bar

@kenshijin1127 hahah there is something really nice about playing Argonian healer hahaha
So generally speaking heavy armor is bad on healers or just not optimal? Like is it actively hurting me if I have like heavy monster set for example?
Apart from slightly increased dodge roll cost, it's not hurting you. But it just doesn't have any worth while benefits for a PvE healer.
Heavy armor more for pvp healing so you can tank enemies ganking you and keep allies alive

I don't think so, apart from changed durations.
