- Baalwala, a passionate explorer, embarked on a poignant expedition to Government College Lahore, driven by a desire to uncover the profound story that unfolded when the legendary Bollywood actor, Dev Anand, visited the city. Beyond the glitz and glamour of cinema, Baalwala sensed a deeper narrative-a story of partition within the borders. In this compelling tale, Dev Anand's visit to Lahore served as a powerful reminder of the shared history and intertwined destinies of India and Pakistan. Through interviews, personal accounts, and historical reflections, Baalwala aimed to shed light on the emotional impact of Dev Anand's presence, bridging the gaps of time and space to forge connections and heal the wounds of a divided past. With a compassionate lens and an empathetic spirit, Baalwala sought to unravel the layers of this extraordinary story, revealing the resilience, love, and humanity that endure even in the face of separation.

That's true. This is the pure content. No one had made such types of videos in Pakistan so far. The speciality of @baalwala is his voice and poetry. ❤

Balwala sahib, what a sweet memories you make me recall. I feel great honor that i was the tour guide from TDCP for respected Mr. Dev Anand g and his fellow country men on one day Lahore Yatra 1999. I, holding Dev g hands told him that he and his blockbuster movie "Guide" was the source of inspiration to become guide in Lahore. He and few other celebraties, like Mr. Jaswant Singh, Mr. Kapil Dav, Mr. Pargat Singh, Mr. Muhammad Shahid and Mr. Javaid Akhtar were in the group and liked Lahore very much. We took them for evening tea at Tomb of Emporer Jehangir. It was very beautiful and eventful day. They said at the end, Lahore Lahore ey (Lahore is Lahore)
Such a great initiative. I must say the way you bring past in front of the audience and describe it so beautifully In Urdu is just Amazing. I'm a historian and the history of Indian Subcontinent is eternal. Never stop bringing such stories. Love from India⭐
Whether the person is small or big, old memories make a person cry. Makes a person emotional. However, a person like Devanand cannot be found in the film industry again.❤❤😢😢
true
Very true it's pitty partition took away our child hood memories punjab suffered the most in partition.
@@abdulrazzak7130partition is generally associated with the western frontier of India that is modern day pakistan & Northwestern India(mostly Punjab) but people generally forget the tale of East, that is Bengal frontier, no one recounts the horror faced by hindus & muslims of Bengal during partition, which is really sad:(

Dev was the first super star. My fathers friend imitated him. People wanted to wear, look, walk, smile, talk etc etc like Dev Sahib. He was and will be one of the greatest of Hindi Cinema.
Right..People were crazy about him..Even Rajesh Khanna used to copy him and became superstar as well. But Dev anand sahav was first superstar, First style icon & First Romantic hero !!!
Superb sir.Watching from India 🇮🇳.
No matter where you go, how great you become, or how influential, you just can never diminish the memories of your childhood and the streets where you spent it.

Great work sir.. Salute.
Beautiful architecture of building.
Thanks man for this video tribute, he was my grandpa's best friend. God bless, beautiful voice in the video.
Nice to know that
What an outstanding job you've done, Sir, you and your playback artist, walking us down memory lane, playing on our heartstrings, getting our tear glands active as your playback pal does by imperceptibly tweaking little bits of these snippets from memorable Dev songs to work on those tear ducts... I'm a 79-year old Dev Anand fan and I must say this remarkable vlog of yours, with its deadly comb ination of your rich voice, your playback support, and well-chosen episodic excerpts from the repertoire of Shree Anand, should come with a health warning for the unwary: proceed with care as the contents may constrict your throat and loosen your tear glands!
Wonderfully compiled research, decorated with beautiful words and songs. ❤
Apart from an excellent coverage of the vlog by the anchor, some unknown singer has renditioned soulful songs beautifully. Very nicely interwoven. Artistic presentation indeed. Being a resident of the same Indian district as Dev Saab, my School and college nostalgic memories were brought back nicely. Good portrayal and very good singing. 🌹🌹🌹
Your presentation on this channel is great and highly informative. The background music is excellent and so is your voice.Thank you.
Thanks

Wow. That’s amazing. In depth research and so nicely presented. Dev Anand was a superb actor, versatile producer and a distinguished director. He made films on different subjects. He kept pace with the changing times. Praiseworthy and superlative video.
واہ کیا بات ہے جناب ۔
بہت اعلیٰ ۔
Good to see this program regarding Dev Sahib and GC. Would appreciate an other program on GC and Balraj Sahani. Could it be possible that authorities name certain places after these legendary people.
Yeah there are a lot of people
Amazing ! The way you describe the whole thing , it is so nostalgic and emotional . Am from India I have no religion , culture , or language bar , Devanand is my all time favourite actor .
There is a philosophy involved behind making these type of videos by you "Dear Balwaala". It is as if we are immersed in a poem. Yes, Dev Anand was most charming hero of that time. His old movies were awesome. Thank you for bringing back his memories. 🙏🙏🙏
An accomplished actor he and millions more victims of egoism of politics unfortunately- thank you for letting us know the accomplishments and the personality of an enlightened brilliant ARTIST OF SILVER SCREEN, thank you very much Baalwala looking forward to meet you again
Welcome
Wonderful upload! Watching Dev Sa'ab's college in Lahore, the accompanying evocative visuals punctuated with timeless songs of his movies n the engaging narration in your super rich voice sent me, like others, on a nostalgic trip. Good job Zeeshan bhai!! Love from 🇮🇳🇮🇳.
Assalm_o_alaikum ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

So emotional video what was great past of Lahore
I AM FROM INDIA. I APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORTS.
Thank you so much for this video. My eyes are full of tears. I have been in North America for last 16 years. During watching this video I realized that how much I was missing GC and lahore. The oval ground, main building, theater library though u didn't show chemistry department but it was so so good to see GC. Once u r ravian its impossible to out of its charisma and magic. I feel the same magic in your video. Stay blessed always. Wherever you live in this planet earth its impossible to forget lahore its lives always in the core of heart. Thanks for making this video.
Awesome video. Our parents were from Rawalpindi. My father used to tell us stories related to Rawalpindi, how they grew up there, brotherly relations with local people., aabo hawa of Rawalpindi, wahan ka khana pina, he used to remember all these things. He was very attached to Rawalpindi throughout his life but unfortunately couldn't visit the place after leaving it in 1947. Governments of both countries should sit together and devise the ways facilitating people displaced during partition & their family members to visit their home towns freely without VISA restrictions.
Partition destroy India millions of people killed for nothing, my father side90 person family member killed at Jammu

You could not have summed it up any better, as you did,
These are stories of the love of your land, your ancestry, which cannot be hindered by the division of country boundary lines.

Sweet Remembrance Dev Sahib, Love U. ❤
What if I say that I had to stop that Vlog on Mr. Devanad 4 times to catch up some unavoidable chores but I couldn't turn it off, I was stuck deep inside between the feelings of the legend, Mr. Devanad and your narration of events. Too good man.
Thanks
Wonderful! Thank you.
Dear BaalWala/ Zeeshan Hussain ji,
I am from across the border. Stumbled across your link of TH-cam Videos/ Shorts, accidentally through this video on Dev Anand's visit to Government College at Lahore. Seeing the top quality of the videos 'forced me' to subscribe your TH-cam channel immediately.
I notice a great effort of your team in historical research, production and fine presentation of the rich legacy of Lahore and Punjab, Pakistan. It is bound to create many potential tourists.
Your easy and open conversational style in Urdu with mix of Punjabi and English is highly appreciated. It should be a great source of information for the youth of the subcontinent and other countries. And perhaps also one source to dispel some incorrect notions of shared history and our societies.
Having lost physical structures and human memories over last 76 years through neglect, apparent modernisation or plain passage of time, I consider that this video documentation priceless.
Allah's benevolence upon you and the team to keep up the good work.
Thank you sir, for this amazing and informative video.
