My uncle was a truck driver in the 50s and 60s and he met Elvis there in Memphis once and talked with him a while, and he was very impressed with him being so nice and humble. He said you would never would meet a finer gentleman. Elvis Had it all, talent, looks and personality to propel him to greatness. Great video! Thanks!

I have loved Elvis since I was about thirteen yrs old! I have lots of memories of him. I saw his last New Years Eve performance at the Pittsburgh Civic Ctr. We traveled home in 20 inches of snow. We had a flat tire and my husband lost three rolls of film. Back then, people dressed up for these performances. I loved it! Years later my husband bought me an Elvis necklace in diamonds which I wear on special occasions like his death date! He had the lights turned on at 12mn so he see the audience which he never had done before. He also didn't know the words to Auld Lang Syne. Priscilla was there with Lisa Marie. Priscilla was there with a white mink midi length coat and hat!! I could go on and on!His father was there too!
Our seats were behind the stage and in the air where we could see everything.I cried through your tour so I know I couldn't visit Graceland or I would cry the whole time He touched my heart like no other celebrity! Thanks for a beautiful tour!!

Aug.16,1977 was my late wife's & my 2nd. anniv. I was on my way to visit my cousin, when I heard, that Elvis had passed. When I told my cousin about the news he thought that I was joking. I said again that he was dead. Most of us "baby boomers" were shocked. Also some 10 years older than boomers remembered the young Elvis better than us. There were 2 Elvis's. The early clean cut one & older one who wore all of those fancy outfits. Thanks for the video.

My Wifes mother and father lived two doors down from Elvis and his Family in Tupelo back in the 30's-50's before Elvis made his fame and bought his Mother and Father a new house "Uptown". She has a picture of her sitting on a pony at the pony rides vendor at the Mississippi State fair in 1955 with Elvis standing next to her holding the pony's reins.

I was driving to school, my senior year (in my red VW bug) and heard it on the radio. Elvis was before my time too. But I remember feeling bad for his fans, and family. Great video Heather and Leo, Ty.

You guys make me feel old because Elvis was during my time late 1950s & 60s. HA!! I have passed Graceland, but never stopped due to time limitations. I enjoyed some of Elvis's song, but was not a hot fan. Thank you this awesome video.

I was twenty but honestly, john Lennon's departure hit me harder. I do enjoy watching Blue Hawaii during winter doldrums, young Elvis livens things up.

Been to Graceland. Nice place. I’ve heard their someone does tour in Memphis to Elvis sites like Humes high school, early homes and hangout places, sun studios, American sound studio was there too where Elvis recorded suspicious minds, Kentucky rain and In the ghetto. Neil Diamond also recorded Sweet Caroline at American studio too. Love your videos.

Don't you mean Gladysland. I was in Memphis watching a documentary on Elvis. The documentary stated that Elvis named it after his mother. I told my sister that meant it was called Gladysland. Last place I expected to get it wrong was a documentary in Memphis. All of his Grammy's were for Christian songs. Everyone seems to forget about Linda Thompson. He died one year after Linda broke up with him. She couldn't live with his cheating after being together for 5 or 6 years. She kept him alive longer than if she wasn't with him. Only one year with Ginger and he died. Love to go back, but I can't do that much walking anymore. I. Remember signs posted "Don't ask cashier's to give change." I wonder was it because they didn't know how. Finally figured they didn't was to give out all their loose change fir vending and jukebox money.
