- I wanted to use my wireless mic with an akaso brave 7 so I cut the lead of an akaso mic up and soldered it to a jack plug.
simple as that and it works.

Just bought a comico vimo c1 mic and have done the modification, worked a treat much better audio recording and no wind noise, I'm well chuffed!. Thanks
No problem thanks for watching 👍
That’s a great hack. My mic sounds rubbish and I want to make it flexible. Thanks for sharing mate. Happy new year
Glad you liked it 😊
That sounds so much better......
👍
Great video, thanks.
Did anyone figure out which USB-C pin is used for the second channel, when you have a two mic wireless setup, for stereo. It is very likley the Akaso V50 / Brave 7 and Brave 8 supports two channel recording, stereo, becasue Akaso are in the process of releasing their dual channel wireless mic. The TRS, tip riing sleeve, 3.5mm jack used in your video will support the second channel, it's just a question of which pin on the USB-C connector it goes to. USB-C male break-out connectors can be purchased on AliExpress. I have not got round to investigating on the bench yet, and thought I'd ask around forst to see if anyone knows.
Great video, Appreciated.
I haven't looked at that, I use the akaso for bike stuff where I only need 1 mic, but I'd be interested if you fine a neat solution as you never know what you may need in the future 👍👍
Ah great, thanks for this. I have been very disappointed with the Akaso usb c plug in mic. Tinny sound and wind noise++. I'm on a boat! What wireless mic are you using, does it give much wind noise? Thanks
I'm using a comica vimo c3, I've not really used it for anything fast and when I get round to that sort of stuff I'll have it fixed inside a crash helmet so hard for me to comment, but for the sort of stuff I do it works great.
Friend, I have a brave 7 but I can't find a microphone adapter, which one do you recommend? I live in Colombia.
I used a 3.5mm jack plug, the only one I had was moulded to the cable which is why i cut and joined it but it would be easier to get a new jack plug and just solder straight to it.
does the usb c cable have to be from the original akaso microphone? can there be another usb c?
I used the original so I knew the wiring would be correct at the "c" connector end, I don't know if it would damage the camera if you used another cable that was wired differently.
@@50plusdad-ukYou can adapt one that is a 3.5 mm female jack because I see that you use a male one
👍👍
Thank you for the video man🤙🤙 I am going to be giving this a try this weekend
Glad you liked it
Thanks for watching 👍
