I thought about this after watching it again. Luke had a real opportunity here to have a kind replacement father figure that Luke had never had. I sort of wish he had taken that job, and allowed a father/son relationship to grow. I know it's not the soap way, but it would have been nice.
And yet he turned him down too. The storyline just idling until after the honeymoon, so TPTB have to fill in the time with something, therefore the lost divorce papers, all the parties. and the job interview do-si-do.
I just watched Scotty and Laura's wedding. I am marveling at the difference two years makes. Laura was such a child when she married Scotty. Here she is a poised young woman.

Lesley was some catch.... definitely attrative, but she has the WHOLE package. There really are men who like intelligent woman!! (You wouldn't know it from watching GH circa 2009, however!!)

@@sonyab1974 During the Left Handed Boy story several times when Laura would start panicking about something he would tell her to chill, a couple of times calling her spudnuts, and another time squirrel bait. So it made sense to me to flip that back on Luke, which is why it made me roll on the floor laughing at how he is now like Laura, freaking out.
I used to have a thinkg for Robert, he came after my Joey... hmmm but I don't know... gotten past the pretty boy looks and despite all his flaws the intensity that is Luke Spencer is quite intriguing in my older age... as a kid I think he scared me.
I don't mind saying, I was 11 years old in 1981. My mom watched GH. And for some reason the only thing that stood out in my mind for their wedding was that scene where Luke holds up his and Laua"s hands and tells Scott that they are married. Strange how certain things stand out and other don't. I don't remember a lot about there wedding. Mainly just Luke getting pissed and Laura crying. .. Now as an adult ,I realize that I don't remember watching this stuff.
Amy keeps us up to date with all the other character stroylines.
