I wish they could cancel foreign workers program altogether and not just in provinces with 6% unemployment..Tim Horton’s and many other chains really milked that program..foreign workers send all their money abroad knowing they are only staying here temporarily and don’t contribute indirectly to the economy
I concur! we've destroyed ourselves and i don't see us recovering anytime soon. We will have to live with our choices and continue on the path of doom! Only thing we can do is to stay vigilant and protect those who are most vulnerable to these impactful changes in our country.
I believe that too much of anything can be harmful. I disagree with the notion that all the money is sent abroad. Do you realize how much revenue they generate for our economy? It’s a billion-dollar industry! The reality is that the Canadian economy would suffer significantly without temporary foreign workers. However, there needs to be a balance, particularly concerning the readiness of our infrastructure.
@@sandhunavpreet2108 You are clearly out of your mind. Young people can't get work because most of these jobs are staffed by people who don't even speak English. The economy does not need these people.
@@sandhunavpreet2108 We ARE able to fill those roles. Mass importation represents artificial forces to devalue labour. The natural free market corrections that would otherwise serve to increase people's wellbeing in an economy are being stopped to continue the concentration of all economic agency into the hands of few people who are beholden to even fewer people. We know we can do a good and functional economy with economic wellbeing for the overwhelming majority, and have extra societal resources to run non governmental community charities to reach out to the less fortunate. Why do we think all the temporary work permit holders will leave Canada when they are supposed to. They will likely to go underground and wait it out hoping for an amnesty. Many of these permit holders pay for their job offers to come into the country because of the prospect of becoming PR. The job offer is a fraudulent and provides a way for them to get in and eventually becoming PR. Where do we get the manpower to enforce the departure of the expired work permit holders. We do not keep track of anyone leaving the country as we do not have to go thru Border control when we leave (like what many other countries around the world will do , i.e. exit control). This is something the Liberal government and their immigration ministers never bother to think about. They are totally incompetent.
I disagree with the idea that this is due to incompetence, but respect your reasoning regarding the current situation and some of why it is a bad thing. I think that the long term is being sacrificed for the short term benefit of a very, very small number of people.

They were. Watch how the gdp crashes when they shut down the relentless stream of immigrants. I hope you have some money saved up because it's going to get really rough in canada over the next 5 years.
It's like offering a 20% off sale after more than doubling the price. These people in charge of this have no respect for their own constituants at all.
How about limiting immigration to prospects that more closely match canadian lifestyle and values. We let in way too many people from muslim countries while decent hard working chistians were denied visas.
There was a big change in US immigration law in the 1960s. Maybe there was a similar structural change made in Canada around that time. There are a lot of wrongthink patterns to notice about societal changes depending on where you look.
lol 😂 tThose countries that “match Canadian values” already surpassed Canada or close to it. Eastern Europe is booming. If not geopolitical events- no one will move here from there. While Canada was busy of “ being proud Canadian”, others actually worked on tangible things and cared about their own population
The currency is devalued now. Not allowed above $.74 since 2020 and it shows on our grocery bill and so many hardware items. Let it float so exporters have to compete like anybody else.
You do know devaluing the currency causes more inflation. Canadians have taken a 35% hair cut in their dollars value over the last decade how much more worthless should the dollar be?
too little too late
It’s too late now

Strange how you blame old long term issues on the current government alone.
People with visitor visas don't leave either. Not a liberal party specific issue.

This is a good start. The restrictions need to increased. There should be a moratorium on new immigrants for at least five years.
Much too little, much too late.
Whatever happened to highschoolers working in retail or in restaurants like the old days?
It is below them. That is why we have devastating minimum wage laws and low human capital in this country.
@TheExcep_tion That is what happens when things are too good for too long. It creates generation of narcissists.
Canada education system has yielded a young generation of weakness, full of entitlement, and instance.
The youth can't get jobs because their own government subsidizes foreign workers to replace them.
theyre too lazy too
Good. It's about time, Turdeau.
Its actually Jumped largely over the last 6 years. We grew too fast and now have a housing and affordability crisis.
People arent realizing its lower but its still happening not stopped 😂
I thought that Canada was racing to expand our population as much as possible to make up for the deficits within our existing population.

Can’t imagine why housing costs are increasing at an alarming rate.
The country has fallen. Get over it.
Move on.
Spoken like a rootless cosmopolitan.
Huge Reduction,,, not
Likely
Reduce the rates? What a mess this country is
Total BS Propaganda

Yes because we have the liberals in power😱🥵
All religious applicants should be denied entry.
You're talking common sense...Marxists don't deal in common sense...
