8:10 Ayeni feels the Tiebreak pressure and double faults. The next point he misses first serve, lets out frustration, doesn't reconcentrate, and double faults again. Tiebreaker double faults are killer. That whole second set he was holding serve so easy. Both were hitting so many aces. Great match.
8:17 = me every time I serve. 😅Ayeni's serve is actually killer though. Wish I could serve like that. Actually they were both painting the line several times. Good game to both you guys!
I know it's early rounds so it's easy to get over-hyped, but Karue has some great serves this match, his work on that is clearly paying off. The TFight is working on the groundstrokes too.
Really strong play Karue, he was hitting spots on serve. Great all court game, he pressured most points abound made you make shots. Good win while having to win points make shots instead of a game of baseline attrition. Loved how you did your best to neutralize his serve. He seemed to have the best lick with the flat to deuce T and flat to AD wide. Almost if you had to guess, percentages favored his desire for those zones.
I was waiting for this, to see how the new racket would impact Karue's game. Pros and cons. I think Karue is getting more power, especially on the serve. But, I think he's not as comfortable yet on his ground strokes. There were a few points there which I've seen from previous matches, that he would have hit a lot more solidly (higher quality). In particular, the 8th and 9th games of the second set were not to his usual level. Karue also got lucky with 2 doubles from Alafia in the tie break. Otherwise, it may well have gone to a 3rd set, and then Alafia may have gone into that with momentum and confidence. All that being said, it takes bravery to change equipment, in looking for an edge. I do hope Karue gets more comfortable with the new setup. I feel like with the Percept he would have a shot in this draw at playing JJ, and then depending on how that would go, maybe a tough final. The top half of the draw has some very high level players. With the current confidence level, I'm not sure Karue can get to that point, but I've got my fingers crossed that he does. In a few months, once he's dialled in, it will hopefully be like before, but with even more power and level. Good luck Karue!
@@msalvs I dont know. It seems like SW is going down, in favour of manoeuvrability. Stiffness is going up to compensate. If you can swing faster, then it MIGHT be possible to achieve a similar level of power.
Yo... Ayeni is ranked 480, and Karue treated him as such. But if he goes somewhere to work on his groundstrokes and movement for a few months, Ayeni has top 250 upside. His serve, despite the late double faults which were out of frustration, is literally perfect.
I feel like if Ayeni times those slides he’ll be a bigger threat. Sometimes I see him slide into a shot and hes still sliding as hes swinging, it loses him an extra second or 2 on the recovery
THis karue guy has a very good mental state while playing. Lets bygons be bygons with the mistakes, doesnt let major anger fits happen, and plays super clean and high IQ tennis. Hes really stepping it up in last year. Like that volley where most would hit it in to the drop volley fore court but he chose to volley deep behind opponent, then opponent is wrong footed going back to baseline, karue forced a solid error there. Def high IQ points. He hits targets very well too, playing patient and efficient but also not playing like a pussy. He has a very all court game dude is physically fit too, bet he can hit top 100 if he keeps this going.
That guy’s serve is huge. Needs some new shoes though. You looked a little tight to start, especially your backhand. Glad to see you got into the groove. Great match!
Great game, great win. You really work the points well. I think the pressure got to him at the end on the tie break. Your psychology was spot on. 👌 How did you feel the racket was for you during this match? Its looked like you have been playing with it for years 😅
i feel sad for alaffia. i’ve been seeing him play since junior tennis and i believe he can achieve a lot more. he has been stuck in this same ranking and level range for quite some time. (if he has not already) i believe he can study and learn from players like opelka and perricard in the sense of hitting a bigger ball from the help of a stiffer setup (pure drive, a 100sq in or powerful 98 frame) and go for more winners while in baseline rallies. it would relieve some pressure off his kamikaze net approaches.
2 years or 1.5 or so ago , he was actually in serious form, I remember watching him win qualifiers in challengers and push in first rounds of main draws, he fell off so hard. Was rooting for the guy

it wasnt a lack of concentration, he has a heart condition and he had an episode at 5-2
goddamn i’m glad karue won but i rly wanna see his ayeni guy do well his game is really cool and he has a lot of potential
He hes mostly an arrogant fool too
His serve is magnificent (when it goes in, of course. That DF in the tiebreak was brutal.)
Cornell University grad
@@LunarEclipsism1 those DF's really got to him... needs stronger mental
yes i've noticed him like 2 years ago....me too same would like to see him break the top100 at least

Everytime he serves he teminds me of marton fucsovics, he hat the serve motion. Looks exactly like him.
yes its the racquet that tfight is doing all the hardwork for him.
Ayeni is bringing the serve and volley back yay
The serves on both players! Great mental stability Karue! The other guy started to lose patience. Well done 👍 - great match too

2:14 damn, that’s pretty fucking impressive
Ayeni was the number 3 recruit in the nation coming out of high school and ranked 27th in the ITF juniors. He is 25 now. Another one bites the dust.
Way to shut the door on those break chances at 4 all in the second. Well played man!

The swingweight is too low. He was getting pushed on the baseline.

well see against normal opponent with rallies, opponent seems serve-volley all in guy, so normal karue was not as comfortable.
Good analysis
Great match! Congrats on the win!
1:26 miles in, why the hesitation
High level tennis right there! Great to see this.

Karue the iceman takes a tough match!
Seems like Karue's new racquet is paying off. That thing is a cannon.
Congratulations Karue..!! super rare double fault on the end from your opponent.
Karue! Precision hitting... must be the new racquet! 🙂

Ayeni is ehm, very clever player, that tie break double faults😂😂😂
4:45 I think he loves his shoes guys xD
I mean, he said so himself, so it must be true, right?
what shoes r those?
@@rezlem2507 lotto hyperpulse 100 spd i think, but could also be mirage 100
Karue is serving some absolute bombs
Looks like the racquet switch for Karue is adding some heat on the serve.
As soon as I saw him serving and volleying, I knew you would win.
It's funny at 8:20. No first serve😅the frustration

So difficult to win against a serve and volley strat, congrats to Karue
What a point at 1:32. Both guys really athletic
What a choke from the servebot 😮
Dude was up 5-4 in tiebreak and promptly served two straight double faults. That was all she wrote.
That double fault at 5-5 in the second set tie-breaker was a HUGE mistake!
Karue’s serve did look huge here
You mean Ayeni’s

Lets go Karue
Serve looking good 💪

That ending was hilarious
KarueHQ 🔥
Sell with his new TF!
What technifibre racket is karue using ??
It’s a customized TFight. He has a whole video on his channel about the customization process
Now that fonseca tien moved to the main draw, Karue going to up?
i feel bad for ayeni...dude is obviously having shoe problems...in my opinion indoor courts can sometimes be "deceptively slick" too...
Y u so goood
go Karue!
Ayani need new tennis shoes 🤣
Man does not live on serve alone
win with new racket :O
I think Karue oppenent is serving soooo slow !! Kkk
Karue Sell can't anticipate the serve it's very fast. Ayeni if it is rally he can't survive he's not stable.
