During your last video you mentioned that you’re not everybody’s “cup of tea” (who is?). You sure are mine-I love the variety of your projects, the before and after pictures, and your huge commitment to keeping statistics! Oh-your June WIP of Shame should be Teddy Bear Blanket. It takes up a lot of room in your project files which you could certainly use. Also, it would be so nice to have it finished and have a baby gift to keep in reserve. Absolutely love your flosstubes-how about a lesson on pin stitches with one and three strands? Looking forward to all your future videos! Pat Minga
Hi Jenn. It is fun to see your progress and am amazed at how much you have accomplished so far this year! I have a question for you. How do you manage your floss? Do you kit up each project with new floss, or do you take from a master set? Do you use floss drops or bobbins? It would be fun to have a video on this subject. Thanks! 🙂
I plan on doing a video of it, but to answer you now, I keep my DMC on bobbins and I work off a master set. I was originally kitting up each project but it was getting ridiculous as I got more and more projects 😂😂 so I switched to one master set. The only things I keep with individual projects are fancy flosses, metallics, and any beads
Good to see all these projects again. Just FYI - blackwork is a specific technique, where the back is supposed to be identical (or nearly so) to the front, enough so it's hard to tell which side is which. Loads of people just do backstitch, instead of the double running stitch that it's supposed to be. I did a blackwork piece years ago from Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine that had a CCS iris on it (gave it to my dad and his 2nd ex-wife as a wedding present) and they had specific diagrams on how to stitch each of the sections. Looking back, it would have been easier had I done it as back stitching, but it was a lot of fun.
@@arianaodom6601 It's so cool seeing how it looks the same from both sides. I was highly tempted to see about framing it with glass on both sides (so they could both be seen. It's really good for something like embroidery on clothing. I thiiiink it came from when girls would do some sort of hope chest to show what they could do, where it wasn't just samplers.
I love the Christmas Calendar & I will be starting mine on July 1st for Christmas in July. I just bought a Mill Hill Kit and mine is called Garden but I have not started it yet. Yours is very cool with the Pumpkin. I am new to your channel because the Cross Stitcher shouted you out. I love your projects. The Gingerbread Gnome is so adorable. I love the Tiny Modernist. I am stitching on the Secret Garden and I am loving it. I wish I could do all her charts. I almost bought the Christmas Crossword one because I love what it says. I think it is by Tiny Modernist but I am not sure. Happy Stitching.
