I love that Gemmy still has the Edwardian Butler recording and is still producing it today. I wish they would make more items with the Ghastly gentleman’s/grooms face, that’s one of Gemmy’s creepiest looking items.
@@ElijahBrown-l3n it would be awesome if some more props were created that were cool like this one that had some great classic phrases such as this. I really enjoy hearing them at least produced on something cool. Hopefully we'll see more of this in the future like you stated.
This variant is definitely interesting. Like I keep saying this one could fit in a wedding. Not a bad design for the outfit just odd colors. I noticed the animation wasn't as good as the other one. Not sure if it's just yours or if that's universal like you pointed out. I think it's great Gemmy brought him back this year, but he's not something I'm looking to get this year. Also something I wish that Gemmy would have done on this model and last years model should have been to embroider the floral design on the vest. Just to give it some texture instead of it being a flat surface. I think the reason why this one looks so different to the one last year is so that it could fit in with At Home's Southern Gothic theme. There are several items that have skeletons designed very similar to the Dapper Skeleton specifically a table runner.
@@darthsidious47 There are a lot of things I think Gemmy could've done to make this model even better. However, I will say I applaud them for going to the fullest and doing something new and different with design. The color pattern is nice but I definitely think like you said and embroider the design on the vest. The movement I am curious about. Maybe I just got an interesting one that has a jerky motion but idk. I do like a lot about this one but I also don't at the same time. Overall definitely good for people who don't have this guy.
@@robotortoise I definitely thinking we're living in another sort of golden age of animatronics. This one is a good example of it. The fact we get Spooky Scary Skeletons on a licensed prop now is insane and I never thought I'd see the day.
@@gemmybonez459 Yeah, absolutely. I just feel bad for Andrew Gold, who never got to see his song hit mainstream popularity. He passed in 2011 and the song became popular a few years later. Agreed about the animatronics though. it's amazing to me that servo props are being continuously released! I do wonder why it seemed like it started all of a sudden with Grim.
@@robotortoise I had heard about that. It really is a shame but I am just happy they are carrying on his legacy and letting this thing blow up the way it has
The thing of it is, I think everyone would LOVE to have the prototype you got. It was original with original phrases. Plus digital eyes! It tells me straight off the bat that Gemmy has technology at their disposal that we are all unaware of but unfortunately I think these retail buyers screw Gemmy over and their good stuff unfortunately doesn't get released or bought. It is unfortunate but we can only hope.
@@Mricicle2 I really don't mind it! The model colors are different and the outfit looks really good as well. Actually very dapper. It's a good second model for this animatronic
@@Mrbeans-CS8T I think the Walmart one is the best out of the two! The At Home version is definitely not bad and has its own charm to it! It's simply a preference so definitely go for it!
@@user-ou9ww6ju2r Not this model, but the Gemmy Dapper Skeleton first day viewed at Walmart in 2023. The first model has a red and black suit instead. This year, this model is being sold at At Home with the white and pink suit.

It's kind of crazy to me that Spooky Scary Skeletons is being licensed to props! I dig it.
