Hey Bill. So for fun, I just got a new guitar, it's a Martin........Smith😂 $80 new off of eBay. I have no problem handling a guitar but I visit these open-mics (nobody knows that I play/sing) and there's all this super expensive gear but they can't play or sing worth a damn😂 So I had to set the guitar up and it plays and sounds great (I know because I also have nice stuff). I plan to rock-up with this thing bare (no case) and see what kind of a reaction I get😂 I have also been experimenting with alternatives to PA systems. I am sitting in a 5,000 sq-ft factory as I type and I have a couple of W-King (unfortunate name) D80 speakers and they are putting-out some pretty respectable volume. The cool thing is that they are rechargeable (USB). I have had them running music, full-volume for 3 hours and I'm on one LED of battery indicator out of 3. Not using the Bluetooth, mind (too much latency). I also like some bottom-end and so I plan to grab an 18" sub that will also be battery powered. If it sounds garbage, it will never leave home but I'm curious. Might grab a couple more W-King D80s because they are inexpensive and when I opened one up, I was impressed with the build quality. Darn you, I just discovered your Stuck-on-You lesson and now I can't stop playing it....don't even _like_ the song 🤣😂. Many thanks, buddy👍
That’s awesome! Oh man, my gear has changed so much since this video. I’m using some Mackie speakers now and my pedalboard has changed a few times. I’m always messing with different gear … I believe that you should be a student to your craft, but also to your gear. Too many players don’t understand their gear. I’m a carpenter by trade and knowing my tools is essential 👍
