@@invisibilly1946 Yeah but Lara wasn’t how I imagined because I remember miles describing her “dark curls” I imagines a small shy girl with dark curly hair
I feel like as a reader I never realized how much Alaska was idealized because we were reading in Pudge’s pov. I guess that’s why many people didn’t agree with the choice of actress for Alaska, cause Pudge always saw like the biggest sex appeal in her and Kristine doesn’t really give off that vibe. However, I’ll enjoy seeing Alaska as way more than what Pudge thought of her.
James Ray i literally never said that i didn’t like her. I think Kristine is amazing as Alaska lol i’m saying that based on the comments on social media i saw, cause there were some.
actually a lot of people were being mean to her when they first revelead the cast. john green had to ask in social media for people to respect their choices. but i guess these people are finally realizing how kristine really is the perfect Alaska.
1:10 i’m glad he said this, lots of teen coming of age films love to half/fully romanticize a manic pixie dream girl and even if they fail at not doing this, the intent was clear
this show/movie exceeded all of my expectations, and then some. I've read, and reread the book over these years, and listen to it on audible. but this is a very rare phenomenon where the movie/show is better than the book. John Green out done himself..I cried my eyes out, because one it took forever to get a movie..but also because the cast, and the plot was just like the book, but richer, more detailed etc.
I had a freind like Alaska in my youth who I still think about from time to time. She was beautiful, intelligent, and vibrant but sometimes you have to move on. I let her go but I will never forget her❤(KL)
Very surprised to see that this was Kristine Froseth's first role. Very believable performance. She has the look of a younger Katie Holmes in the series.
Never saw this the first time so can thank this bloody awful lockdown for discovering this little gem of a show beautifully cast and written , it took me back to those days of teen angst many moons ago
So unfair for Europeans to not be able to watch it T.T edit: so I have watched it and it's honestly the first book adaption where I didn't think the book was better and the movie did lack this and that and they've forgotten to insert this and that from the book. All I can say is that both are good and it is a job so amazing done : D The series are great. I am so thankful for the work behind them
The person they chose was so wrong for miles omfg the way he spoke, his expressions, his appearance, his face just did not match up. He seemed like a dead person walking
I agree, his way of speaking was so monotone, like he could barely get the words out of his mouth sometimes. At first i thought it was intentional but then watched a few of his interviews and realized he is just like that in real life also.
Alaska was casted so well
Agreed. Pretty much everyone was. I might like hyde more in the show

idk, i think Kristine fits the character perfectly
????? You are literally the only one that thinks that. Kristine Froseth was a great choice.

@@Isabella-S14 I think those people were like 12. She is so beautiful and has that Alaska vibe. Perfection
Josh did exactly what he set out to do. I loved being able to see and understand Alaska in a way that the book didn’t portray.
Alaska looks exactly how i imagined her
no:( her eyes are green
IFKR.
Anelle Towers bruh
I imagined her brunette
1:58 Kristine Froseth smiles so beautiful.

Is Alaska Young related to... Tessa Young? (Hehe)
i legit thought that was Margot Robbie in the thumbnail
You never really payed attention to how she looks then
Kristine Froseth is the most beautiful person in the World.
Kristine Froseth is so beautiful. I love her skin, her hair, her eyes and her tummy. She is European.
Kristine looks like she shouldve been Margo instead lol

asian, black, white - Josh Schwartz looks Jewish. I think this film is more of a project to make multicultural social structures socially acceptable.
Read the book
no it’s based in america where diversity is widely accepted
