If I lived in a mud village and house in white clothing I would look a wreck. These people wear fine clothing and it is so clean and pressed and stylish. I find it just amazing. They have so much dignity and pride in their surroundings. they take better care of their property than my neighbor across my street, here in Canada (my other neighbors are pretty good though!). We have so much, and they have so little, but they are not stressed about retirement savings, or how they may die lonely in a retirement or long term care home. There are lessons here.

I loved this video. His traditions and values remind me of my own grandparents in Azad Kashmir who are the same way. I was lucky enough to see our old homes which where made of the same mud. Today we've got a concrete villa, but it's not the same charm as these older houses. In our part of the world we need to reconsider architecture of houses, consider sustainable materials that would help insulate homes from the cold and the heat, and try to re-incorpate courtyards into the design. They were the heart and soul of our homes and our communities. We're losing that now.

I've really enjoyed a lot of these videos for a while now. I've been waiting to see where some of these folks come from to see the villages where they live. I was in Afghanistan as a Marine and spent a good amount of time in many rural villages trying my best to interact and enjoy the unique experience of seeing a more pure and traditional world. It was always an amazing experience as the villagers were eager to see me fumble through simple things they would do and try their food they would always share. I was a dog handler and it was perplexing to them that I had this dog that was treated like another member of the unit attached to me. The kids all seemed to enjoy it once they got over the initial concern of the dog being aggressive (he wasn't and just wanted to play). They would throw the kong and laugh every time when he dove for it. Thanks to the interpreters we had, I was able to learn a lot and understand what the locals thought of the experiences. More than anything, I was ALWAYS wishing I could share so many things that we took for granted in the states and see their reactions. Toys for the kids, foods, some basic devices, etc. These channels are exactly that and I have really enjoyed seeing the reactions! The world needs more culture sharing and perspective as we have really lost sense of what it means to understand each other and expand our thinking.

@@letshavepie There is plenty of contempt on both sides. Over many years there have of course been good and bad experiences, good and bad interpretations of people and events, and general ignorance and/or misinformation. That's why channels like this are great. People are shocked at how many "good" Americans are out there that love other cultures and people because they only see the sensationalized side of issues and people in the states-- just like we are hand fed specific view points about other countries/regions here. I think people are really burned out on the polarization that has swept across the world and are seeking neutral sources of content like what we can find on TH-cam all over. Individual content creators that are now the world's reporters simply by going places and interacting with people. If we keep this up, hopefully we can break our terrible addiction to polarized and biased content that only feed our own viewpoints and allow no room for learning or perspective.

Oh my goodness. Mustafa's pride in his home, village and traditions now had much more context. His home is stunning and is all the fruits of his labour and all for his family. Everything about his tradition is about his culture, community, family and heritage. How stylish qnd youthful he appears in his own setting. No wonder he is sooo dubious about these processed foods and sweet treats just look how fit he has kept himself. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you so much to the channel makers nbut also to Mustafa for opening his home to us.

I would say that Mustafa is a very wealthy man. Not in the sense that others in the West are wealthy but in that he has built a spacious loving home for family and friends. They love him and he loves them. I wonder about the brick homes and how they are constructed. If they are not fired brick, then they must not have much if any rain in the area. Not much in the way of electric and no running water. Years ago I joined a small company that had big growth plans and they delivered on those plan. The company was publicly owned but started by one of the greatest individuals I have ever known (RIP). He was a religious person who supported the church and used the money he made to grow the church and serve human kind. He expected nothing for himself but did expect others to work hard and provide good management. He started an Asian import company for the church and it grew to become one of the most successful businesses of its kind. I say that because he would have enjoyed knowing and working with Mustafa. What is needed here is water and energy and there is way to develop those resources. Village by village. When you have a beautiful brick home like Mustafa, there is way to condition the air and make it more pleasant to live. No electricity needed. Developed nearly six thousand years ago in Iran. If there is ground water you can get that too. Surely there is a way to make life more comfortable for these folks without imposing our culture on their culture. Water, energy and good management.

It's amazing and ironic how we've gone from feeding Cheetos to tribal people in Pakistan who have been less influenced by Western hegemony to get their feedback to a shift more and more toward learning THEIR culture and how much more fascinating and beautiful it is. If Reactistan's legacy is ultimately preserving for history the traditions and ways of the Brahui people and unvarnished portraits of family life in Balochistan, then I'm so here for it. Thanks for the tour of your home, Mama.

Will you be returning to visit again? I’d love to have an opportunity to exchange questions & experiences with people in places you visit. Things like how far are they from the nearest store and what games or activities do the children enjoy. Mustafa’s son didn’t get interviewed. His experience ads a unique layer per considerations. I’d love to hear about things they celebrate & daily life. Would be cool to have a dialogue where they can ask questions for your subscribers to answer. I hope you do more of these.

The gracious hospitality is exemplary. They do not have much yet they are eager to give, to host and to serve. They have the wisdom that we lack in modern society, which tells them that a spirit of giving enriches society as a whole and in turn brings more to them in different ways. Its not about what you can get but rather how much you can give that is where true wealth and contentment lies.
It is a point of pride and pleasure to host people and to take their presence as a sign of love rather than a burden.
They really do have things figured out more than we do

The mud structure reminds me somewhat of a smaller, but taller mud brick building I stayed in as a child when my family visited family friends in rural Sindh. It was also built like this, several mud brick rooms around a sentral courtyard, but the outer mud walls were much much higher. In summer when I was visiting those rooms were so wonderfully cool, even in the sweltering heat outside.
