Fair winds from the HR48 n.4 2005 Warandher now sailing Portugal/Spain/France and watch out for the orcas (we met them)!

Yellow Rose is a new 44 and she is awesome for us. We “downsized” from a 2018 HR 48, Inconceivable, and really like the 44. We have already been to Norway and back and she sails really well. Headed to the States in August.

Amazing! Fair winds! I can imagine that she is awesome and doesn’t feel like a downsize at all.

I like your content but wish you could increase the volume during your spoken parts. You have a very soft voice and I would love to be able to here what you have to say. We took possession of a new 48 MK ll in 2018, named her Inconceivable, and are looking forward to a new HR 44 in June 2024. We absolutely love the HR brand. Fair sailing ….

Fair sailing to you too. Thank you for the comment and advice on my voice. Will keep that in mind for the next post processing of a clip.
We feel the same about the brand Hallberg-Rassy. Still love at first sight when we walk up to Windfinder.
I think you have the new HR44 already for it is July 2024? How is she? ⛵️

Very Nice! Great balance between music and live sound..well done. -- QUESTION -- So how does it work within EU countries - did you have to put up a French courtesy flag even though you are also from an EU country yourself? Can't you just go to any EU country without immigration check-in?

Courtesy flag is still done within the EU countries. The hoisting of the guest country flag is intended to express that one submits to the laws of the country visited. As every EU country still has it's own law, the courtesy flag is hoisted. I'm not a professional sailor, so take my answer with a grain of salt 🙂
Within the EU (Schengen) an immigration isn't required BUT I would always check if there are specific regulations that you have to obey. Greece seems to be a bit difficult sometimes I have read. Croatia just recently became a member of the Schengen area and has dropped all immigation formalities since January 1, 2023.

@@thearchibaldtuttle ....I did not know that.. I remember backpacking through Europe and after landing in Germany I went from country to country without any immigrating at all - which was great, although I wanted passport stamps as souvenirs like in old movies. I just thought the same would apply when sailing - but fair enough.. I wonder how much of this checking in and out is simply about taking money from sailors. Seems like it is becoming a big tax grab from what I see on youtube.

@@michaeltca3103 Absolutely! Some countries really rip of sailors!
