Teenagers like fluffy things, blankets and even stuffies, mine also wants a heat up kitten (filled with rice we saw it on Ruans video) for bad period days, they also like backpacks and purses. You can also make them things like hoodies and makeup cases.
When our kids were little ( they are grown up now with kids of their own) and money was tight, my friend made some Cindy outfits for my daughter - it was her most loved Christmas present- she played with those clothes for a couple of years. Fun doesn’t equate to spending lots of money, as your vlog shows. Thanks for all the inspo, Sam x
You’re so right Lynne, just a few meaningful gifts where they can use their imagination is enough , it gets so overwhelming (I loved my Cindy too- I was never a Barbie girl!)
As always, great ideas. I love the idea of bum bags for little ones. Can you imagine what would be in those at the end of the day?! The sling bag is also a great idea, so handy. I am putting this vlog on save, I will be revisiting it a lot. Thanks for all the research.
Ha ha, yes there would be all sorts of ‘treasures’ - glad you found it useful Jennett, there’s so many occasions when we can make fun things for the kids in our lives 👍
Thanks for the great ideas! Also for the challenge info. I agree, my older grandkids prefer cash over handmade gifts but one thing they still like is a throw pillow with a big first initial appliquéd on. I used quilting cotton prints of each one’s interest/hobby/sport. -Addie
16yo was delighted last year with a little circular gift bag (I think shared by In Agata's Cottage) with tiny trinkets and sweeties in it, hung on the tree. Also a book sleeve made with fabric of his choice.
Love these ideas Sam! The blocks would make excellent pattern weights too 😂😂😂
Ooh yes never thought of that Rachael- good idea 👍
As always brilliant vlog. I want to make everything!
Ah thank you so much for your lovely comment 🤗
