Wow! Just wow, so much that resonates with a former catholic, obsessed with weight mother of daughters whom I have undoubtedly stained with my lifelong battle with weight/body image.... love this so much, it touches on everything... the steps, the calories, the self-loathing, the guilt. I have always gone to Hail Mary as my mediation for times when i can't sleep or need some solace, learned it as a kid, but only understood it much later, that it is a testament to the power of womanhood. I love how the water cleanses away the stigmata too
I'm so pleased you found this helpful. The beauty of the arts is that they show us we are not alone. Thanks so much for your feedback, it means a lot to me.
Beautifully filmed and such a powerful piece too! Lovely to see that Toyah is still very active as an actress and what a good sport for taking a dip in what looks like pretty chilly water to me too although maybe that's because I'm watching this in November! Women have a natural beauty at any age if only more movies would appreciate that too.
been waiting a while to see this, happy to finally see it, I really liked it. I didn't realize Fripp was also a part of this but I instantly recognized his sound.
Wow, powerful. I imagined this as an additional visual track from the album ‘Prostitute’ which I only last week revisited. It will always be an album I will listen to several times a year, and make some unaware friend or lover listen to and one I saw you perform all tracks in concert back in the day in Chichester or Chester maybe, Huge respect for you Toyah and I appreciate your cultural contribution to my teenage years, my coming out and my life to this day. God bless you ❤
I really didn’t get this. She laid out all of her stuff as if she was going to end it all, but that never happened. And doesn’t really seem plausible that anyone would reach this age without already having overcome what life had thrown at them
@@9ofcupsproductions665Thank you! you’re the 1st filmmaker who’s listened. Please keep it up and tell every filmmaker you know too. I don’t understand how or why nobody thinks of all the hard of hearing or deaf fans of short films. Dust and Omeleto are horrible with closed captioning +they never listen or respond when asked where they are.
What a powerful short film. Toyah was excellent as Maureen. Great work!
Our minds are a neurotic mess, always working against us, but the heart knows, the heart sees beauty. Listen to the heart✨️
Beautiful filming. Haunting performance from Toyah. ❤🎬
We agree! Thanks for your comment!

Apologies JoAnn, just to clarify it's Louise Monaghan responding to your comment.

We need more drama showing older women without makeup. Ditch the dirt Toyah, rock your natural looks more often 👍

A beautiful film ❤
This is a welcome return to what makes TW still relevant today. Edgy. Beautiful. Punk. Always.
BEAUTIFUL WOMAN WITH A BEAUTIFUL SOUL
You were amazing Toyah 💜
Adore Toyah! 🤩

Well done, all. Any attempt I would make at praise would fall short.
beautiful Toyah !
What a stunning older woman!
Beautiful and powerful ❤️
Thank you so much for watching!
Love this - so moving. You are a natural beauty 😍
O solitude. Beautiful
Hauntingly beautiful
Beautiful
Painful to watch someone in so much pain. But it seems it needs to be done.
Excellent ❤
Thanks 😊
Water looks very clean.
It was! :) We were very lucky with the weather as we filmed in Autumn, think it rained the next day!
