My choir is singing this and I needed practice and I had lost my packet so this was a life saver. We are singing Lion King, circle of life and Circle of life reprised

Beautiful vocals, but I was very disappointed with the "nanana"s. I don't understand why the Zulu words weren't used

The post on here never sound that brilliant it's just an example with perfect pitch to use as a training aid.
The whole arrangement sound much more spectacular when done with a real choir and not so tiny and bland

It rarely went above middle C? In my choir, the basses are expected to be able to hit the F above that, and the tenors expected the C above that.

    • @DaaRealSven

@@jacknisbet3954 I can go down to C2 (or deeper using the
straw bass register) . G2 - F3 is the range I like. Until A3 it's ok, but everything above is more or less too high for me X_X

    • @jacknisbet3954

@@DaaRealSven I would highly recommend getting at least a middle C comfortably. When I sang bass (I sing tenor now, long story), I was miserable because my director continued to choose songs with high bass lines. So, I forced myself to expand my upper register until I could comfortably sing the tenor part so the bass part was no issue. Of course, that backfired, and now I sing 1st tenor (I do still have the low end of the bass range luckily).

@@jacknisbet3954 Idk what "middle C" is? Nah, when they're 1st and 2nd Bass I will choose 2nd Bass xD

My performing arts group sang this in our annual spring show in 1997 (our theme had been movie songs), but we only sang "Circle of Life", "Hakuna Matata", and "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" In fact, that year, when the director was telling the plot line of the movie (for those people who had never seen it), and she got to the part where Mufasa dies, one of the guys in the group--who had been a real comedian, and had passed away in the summer of 2004--actually said, "Is it a good story?"
