Now I can see why these festivals in anime are so crucial in their culture... It is really hard to spot such spectacular fireworks anywhere around the world. You don't really see people invest that much financially to entertain public, even though huge positive externality exists.
Not only beautiful, but, also, a great tool to help you perfect your camera skills until the real thing presents itself. I saw a video presented by Forrest Tanaka using this technique and it really helps. Thanks.

I just finished watching Dubai's 2014 Fireworks show and it was definitely amazing and spectacular...then some peeps mentioned Japan killing it so I have to see for myself and... I CONCUR! This was definitely the most wonderfully displayed fireworks and omg...those pinkish pom-pom fireworks are so amazing and it's like Japan's blooming CHERRY BLOSSOMS... what an amazing sight! But then again... RIP OZONE LAYER :( I hope Japan or anyone can invent an ORGANIC type of firework so we can still keep using this for special occasions and events :D

Depending on the shells, it had 2" to 9" shells to about 10" shells. In Japan, the shells are more than 10". up to 20".
