I heard Florence Quivar sing this piece live years ago. It remains one of the most beautiful voices I've EVER heard.

Brava Quivar come sempre, ma gli altri cantanti pur bravi nel loro repertorio avrebbero dovuto evitare Verdi, non è decisamente nelle loro corde.

I saw this with Franco Corelli, Grace Bumbry, Ezio Flagello, all marvelous except the forgettable English soprano.

Sweet is great, Quivar does not impress me, wobbeling with chin and voice.
