I was a teen in the 80's. I can confirm the boredom as well as the bullying. This ep was a nod to Carrie btw. Lot of Stephen King and 80's horror movie references this season. Best season of ST in my opinion. S5 is confirmed to be the final season
I think the reason Will looks so much older is because Noah Schnap is actually the youngest cast member of the kid group. He's only 17 (playing a 15 year old) so any changes due to puberty will be more noticeable. At least we don't have 20 somethings playing 15 year olds.
The scene when Steve says I take care of all the customers and the guy walks in the background that is Maya hawk (Robin) brother in real life and their parents are Ethan hawk and Umma Thurman also I love joesph quinn (Eddie) his also from game of thrones as Koner, a Stark soldier I love him and another good one is Eduardo Franco(argyle) he played in the movie booksmart their such great additions also Noah (will) and Millie (El) are so close in real life and Natalia (Nancy) and Charlie (Johnathan) are married in real life vecna goes for ppl who have guilt or secrets or trauma
*Has been teased about it for the past few seasons, Mike makes comment about Will not liking girls last season, El theorizes Will likes someone and that the painting is somehow related to it, Will seems to want to give the painting to Mike but changes his mind last minute, Will becomes immediately unhappy once Mike starts paying attention to El* You could have a bright clown trying to sneak around in the middle of the night during a stealth mission and THAT would have more subtlety. And the funny part is, people still seem to deny that Will likes Mike. Unfortunately for them, recent interviews with actors from the show have confirmed it.

I was hoping she’d triple slam that skate in her face till she landed in the middle of next week. Shouldn’t have talked like that about Hop 🤷🏻♀️ This season is horror, definite nightmare on elm street and It vibes. And not just bats, my man, DEMObats, we’re just adding demo before everything from the upside down now.

This season is darker since the audience has grown up. Really good season with a great villain.
