African/ black people going to Africa! This is what we need to see more of. Self acceptance, self-awareness and pride. African people need to see more tourists or humanitarian workers that look like them. They need role models that look like them. When they see this it motivates, inspires and ignites fires within them. This is so important Neicey, you don't know how powerful this video is! well done! can't wait to see more.

black people arent african because they are black. unless your passport is from an african country or you have dual citizenship to an african country then you are black/what ever country you reside in. black north americans who were born in north america are about as far removed from what it means to be african as white people whom they live around. if you dont beleive me ask an actual african just how much they relate to black north americans and im sure it will be very little. white folks dont call themselves irish american or british american etc they are american first and the other stuff is just a means of telling where their family originated. if you think you have something other than skin tone with africans i suggest moving to africa for a year and seeing how familiar you may or may not be with what you beleive to be african culture. keep in mind africa is made up of several countries many of which are dramatically different so good luck with that

@@Livingwithkenya yes we shouldn't forget our ancestry i would agree but if you can trace your roots back to the actual country in africa you came from would be much more specific. otherwise its like an asian saying they are going back to asia to rediscover their roots. would they go to japan, china, vietnam ect. when north american blacks talk about africa in such a generalized way it does a disservice to the vast differences the massive continent of africa has to offer. figure out if your roots are in uganda or kenya etc and then you can truly understand where you came from

For years some Chicagoans used to only travel to 3 places: Bahamas, Cancun, Mexico and Jamaica. They have started to explore other places.
Zanzibar has changed I’ve been there 2 years ago and it was packed with tourists to the point where they automatically charge you in dollars instead of their currency. But still very beautiful island

I cant wait for more of us to start vacationing in Africa on the regular. When I was in Kenya, I saw a few why people. They would try to cut lines and waiters would try to serve them first. I put a stop to all of that real quick. I put up with zero shit like that when in the motherland. You don't have your police to kill me out here. LOL.

What's so interesting about the slave house...is that you always hear about them in West Africa but rarely anywhere else on the continent.

MrAmhara I’ve noticed it mostly in Africa. I think it because majority of blacks in Africa are the helpers and servers and not the vacationers. Only had this experience in Africa. No place else.
They don't want you guys to visit Africa because it threatens the white man. Travelling to Africa makes African Americans aware of their self worth and strength. Above all it destroyed the white man lies. They prefer you visit Asia countries where you will still be reminded of your Blackness, however, when in Africa, you feel at ease.

A tv station should hire you to produce videos for millennials and expose them to travel and history and the process of getting to know the world outside of their view. Girl you can do product reviews for straight hair products, flat irons, heat protectants, best shampoo and conditioner to straighten hair so it's nice and flowy. I'm also a natural who straightens and no one makes videos for us!!

Yea be careful in the water that’s the magnetic full from the moon the water fall and rises through out the day. If you was in that water you would have been really shock when the water got higher. Tanzania is definitely on my travel list 🥰🥰
Yeah it was crazy that the hotel didn't even tell us about it nor told us about the shoes they provided for the sea urchins. Something really bad could have happened!
I am just amazed by this. Education is golden. That’s why traveling is so important, it’s a learning experience. That is so cool how the moon controls the sea. I agree that the hotel should definitely warn travelers for safety reasons.
