Sharing a wonderful experience below.
I know an entrepreneur , with his donations the international standard school was built and run.
Whenever he went to deposit the fees , he used to stand in queue to do that . If a clerk comes with a receipt book , this guy would tell : Rules are same for all the parents , I am not an industrialist or a donation given, but, I am a parent . I must be the right Role Model for my son- my son is observing my behavior and discipline !!!
If a class teacher asks during the parents meet : How can I help your son better ,sir?
This guy would reply : Never offer any extra privileges to my son because he is my son !!!. If he makes a mistake , and he has to stand in the class - make him stand for 2 hours . No privilege should be ever offered to my son because he is my son !!!!!
Privileges makes a person weak and useless.
