Yup. I've never seen this before. An artist growing and tuning/nurturing a composition over time. There's a couple of TH-cam videos that document some of that process.
I never listened to Ed until this year, January 1st to be exact. I haven’t stopped listening to him! I’ve memorized nearly all the lyrics, not deliberately, just because I listen to him so much. My favourites are Bloodstream and the one about his grandfather’s funeral. I should know what it’s called lol. Must be that old timers short term memory loss. I am 59. I think Ed Sheeran is the best artist in this millennium. He appeals to all ages, all people, all of us love him and the ones who don’t are either jealous or have no taste.
I have a special place in my heart for "gingers" ! I'm 58 and I can't get enough of this kid. Every frickin thing comes out of his mouth is just brilliant !
Wembley version is considerably better with scale and rhythm, the Glastonbury has amazing base, but i absolutely love the Vocals in this version. regardless, kudos to @AustinCityLimitsTV and Ed. Sheeran
'The Live Room' session recorded in Chicago in 2012 is the best version of this song. It fully showcases the mans unreachable talent. The hairs on my back that I don't have stood on end. It's that good!
I miss going to his concerts, I miss watching him live, I miss singing his lyrics til I'm out of breath and tears... I miss the indescribable feeling of seeing him right in front of me... so I'm watching him through a screen cause that's all I can do right now 😭
this is an old song that Ed wrote when he was teenager and still an independent artist....inspired by a UK record label who wouldn't sign him because they said with his music and looks that he couldn't be successful....
it's so exciting how he's still advancing that song over time, listen to older versions and see what has changed

2011: Because I'm young I know my brother's gonna give me advice.
2018: When I was young my little brother used to give advice.

Amazing! Ed looks like he's having so much fun here! That makes for such an awesome performance, you're great Ed!
The only people I know that don't like Ed Sheeran are the ones that weren't listening.

I feel joy every time I watch this man perform
I really like the interlude he did here with the guitar and everything. Nice rhythm.
Peak Ed Sheeran...he left that crowd dizzy.
Thank you...love Ed!
Funny how the captions couldn't keep up with Ed's rap towards the end, and it made up random words lol
Always imagining Ed and Damian Rice fooling around in a supermarket oder anywhere when he sings this song.
Victor Sudmann 😂😂😂😂
WOW. Finally, after 6 years....
I miss going to his concerts, I miss watching him live, I miss singing his lyrics til I'm out of breath and tears... I miss the indescribable feeling of seeing him right in front of me... so I'm watching him through a screen cause that's all I can do right now 😭
