    Thanks for such great information! I’m confused on something. For California coaches: LLC or Sole proprietor with liability insurance?

      Hey Coach! As far as the “sole prop or LLC” I would recommend sitting down with an accountant to discuss what will be best based on your situation. Normally you can have a free consult with them. I say this because there are certain tax benefits depending on what state you live in.

    Can you just get them to sign an agreement form instead of insurance if they get hurt

      Insurance will better protect YOU and the business. The cost of NOT having it is much more expensive. I've seen people who choose to NOT get it, they've gotten sued over injuries and their businesses have all shut down because of not having it. I recommend looking at KandK insurance, been using them for years and it's extremely affordable.

    Do i need to be a certified personal trainer or do i need the business license+ insurance?

    • @makemoneycoachingsports
      @makemoneycoachingsports  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends, if you are a personal trainer working in a gym or working with clients, that is different than being a sports trainer.
      You absolutely need the business license and insurance no matter what. Too many people skip this, and then they become too disorganized with their business - then it crumbles faster than they know it.

    Hi Ben, what kind of business is better Corp, LLC...?

    • @makemoneycoachingsports
      @makemoneycoachingsports  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll want to talk with a CPA to determine what's best. This varies from state to state and I suggest getting an experts help who will guide you towards the best type of business to start.

    Can I start a sports business as a 13 year old or is that illegal?

    • @makemoneycoachingsports
      @makemoneycoachingsports  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've helped 2 16 year olds in the past who have done this. I would look to have your parents help you legally setup the business (but you own it). Here's a great resource that will put you on the right path to starting and getting your first clients: www.buildmysportsbiz.com/guide

      @@danielo3866 absolutely, start young! I wish I started when I was younger - I would've been a lot further ahead earlier in the game!

      @@makemoneycoachingsports Yes, I will start planning today and after lockdown I can start marketing. Do you think it would be a good idea to start at a local school and start marketing to other schools to gain attention and then build my own "stadium"? Have you made videos for teens in this position and what licenses and other things do I need to do start my business?
