  • Per request (and a whole lot of copyright battles later lol) I gave the E.W. "fan theory debunking" video a look-see! Also dipped my toe into Apple TV's more recent promotional material for Season 2 including the 'lil character reels as well. My recent LIVE-STREAM is references here and there but I will still be uploading the full stream directly to TH-cam soon!
Season 2 starts up TOMORROW with my full, UNCUT & UNCENSORED reaction available on Patreon first, followed by TH-cam this weekend :)

Traditionally for fan theories, I would say something like "Let's dig deep." But I must say, I do think that your other comment sections have allowed us to already do so on a much deeper level.

    Lumon, we hear for you.
But seriously tho really excited for this next season! The inclusion of Harlow’s monkeys and behaviourism is interesting (said the psych student). Rewards for working like the finger traps and erasers do stem from behaviourism too, classic conditioning. Though ofc many of the research now is considered unethical because of the abuse of animals… which is befitting of an unethical company like Lumon… to me it definitely supports the experiment idea.
The goats, for example, maybe it isn’t animal testing at all rather the goats are the ‘cloth mother’, in the sense of testing the effects of human isolation with just animals as companions. The person raising them was very isolated and down a dark corridor, when approached very upset at the idea of the goats being taken away. That could also explain why they were strongly against the mingling of macro and design.
The macro data itself could also be or be a response to conditioning, except rather than classical, it’s Pavlovian, where you are conditioned to have an unconscious response to certain stimuli. It doesn’t fully explain what the data is but it’s something to think about.

I can't wait until Lumon launches "Severance + " later this year lol
Love the theories and "psych student" input, please keep 'em coming!

Welp, there goes my goat theory. 🤷🏾‍♀️😂🤣
    My actual theories are:
    1. Gemma was in with Lumen before her supposed death. Maybe she was going to become a whistle blower, so they faked her car accident to keep everything hush-hush. Or maybe she agreed to an experiment to see how Mark would manage if he believed that she had passed away. Something with taming the tempers, maybe?
    2. Either Mark’s sister or Ricken will take a job at Lumen, to try and find out if Gemma is really there.
    3. I think the picture of the MDR crew, at a ticker tape parade, in the newspaper is completely fake. 🤔
I don’t know. 😂 My theories change every few months. 🤦🏾‍♀️

I posted this one on of your other videos but if you get bored driving or cooking or something you should put on the severance podcast with Adam Scott and Ben Stiller. It's really interesting to hear them break down each episode and as far as I can tell they recorded them very recently to setup a week by week episode while the season airs. Episode one has the creator/writer on and they talk about the original script. Other episodes have like Turturro, editors, Helly's actress, etx.
You wondered if Adam Scott has much insight into the writing process. It sounds like he gets the script like the other actors but seems to be able to give input and might have a bit more influence than the other actors into the story because it sounds like Ben Stiller brings him in on some of that process.
Anyway, I love your commentary and look forward to following the show with you this season.
