- Welcome to another MTB /enduro vlog. In this MTB vlog I returned to one of my all time favourite mountain biking venues, Cademuir forest. The trails here are sick. I love them. The hill has a really unique feel and I would strongly recommend that you visit.
The trails featured in this video are Dangermouse, Vinyl Justice, Kamikaze, RTT, Parental Guidance and Baron Greenback.

Great footage as always, it's funny how trails on camera never look steep. It's the tyres scrabbling for grip that let's us viewing no the score!!!.. Keep'm coming 😎👍

Had glorious sunshine the last time I was there. Got to the first trail and realised I forgot to bring the camera lol 😂 was in the car though so only missed footage of RTT
At least you got the other stuff. Yeah, I just love this wee place. It's very close to home so it's my go to place 🤙

So technical trails
Super technical in places buddy. Probably one of the easier places to ride in the valley, still plenty challenging though 🤙

So I went to try Danger Mouse / Penfold today, but its steepness completely caught me off guard haha. It's so much steeper than it looks on camera!! (Of course it is) Not really used to this kind of steepness as I've only ridden the easy trails at Inners and the Enduro Trails at Janet's Brae aren't this steep. Have you got any tips for riding steep stuff and Danger Mouse into Penfold in particular? I started struggling right after that first drop really. I could not find any grip, and got super sketched out so had to walk some parts. Are you leaning back at all? Or more in a chest lowered, attack type position?
Those trails are very steep mate and unfortunately the Go Pro makes them look pretty straight forward. Well done for doing the first drop. It's actually pretty tricky. I guess I will be further back on the bike. Just be careful not to lean to far back as then you can't steer properly or weight the front for braking grip. If it's any constellation all my speed control on those trails happens with the front. The rear is just often locked to help the bike turn. Keep the elbows bent and it's really important that you get your hips turned into the corners. Kamikaze at Cademuir would be a good place to practice. Also RTT to get used to the steep and lack of grip 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb Thanks a lot man. Are RTT and Kamikaz easier than Dangermouse? I really want to go back and ride DM out but first I need sone good practice on something a bit less steep to get the good technique going I think.

Na bro. It was grim up top with driving rain whilst we set off. Only rode Cademuir DH at the top but couldn't use the footage as it was rain blurred 👍

Sorry, not on this one. Frankly up top the weather was best described as pure pish! You'll notice there is no filming from the top. The lens was getting covered after about 20 metres 😂
