- Along the border between Sudan and South Sudan, the Ngok Dinka community in the disputed region of Abyei has declared allegiance to the south. Earlier in the week, they held an unofficial referendum to decide which of the two countries they want to join - and the result: 99.9 percent in favor of South Sudan. Al Jazeera's Peter Greste reports from Abyei.
Thank to Abyei communities of Ngok for declearing to Joint South Sudan, remember your were south Sudanese since creation not begin today, but it was politicise by northerner to have share in Abyei area. Congratulation you made wise choice may almiighty God be with you throught this process with out war. we shall be with you in any case
South Sudan should seek more sovereignty. The north is ruthless in their ways and need to stay in their own country. Good luck South Sudan.
Good for them
the darker the berry the sweetest the juice nigga!!
it was obvious. People in Abyei are not muslims and they are ethnically nilotic and other ethnicities present in South Sudan.
Yet the islamic Sudan wont respect the will of these people and the international community wont help them
khaalid abuukar moalim: are we have to judge God for creating us As black? tell me...? PLEASE STOP WRITING CONSES. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A WORD TO SAY.
And let me let you know something Abyei is ours till we die!!
The Dinka are darker than used engine oil. They are darkest black men in the face of earth
this vote is not official because only the Dinka voted but the Misseria never voted. We Misseria will never join South and we will beat them back as we did before.
