its sunday night,my wife & daughter r watching singing... dancing shows....,driving me nuts, thank u for youre vids & valuable info.Make the night all SO interesting.Take it easy
been watching a few of your huntin' harleys videos. I really appreciate them, and your pointing out of what was actually original to the specific year harleys. Much of it has been lost to history for a lot of us. But not now......
1952 was the 1st year for the hand clutch. The correct model designation for Panheads with a handclutch would have an F at the end of the model. such as FLF or FLHF for footshift. This designation of model type would be on ones original title, but was not differentiated on the motor number (IE, an FL motor number or EL one could not determine if the bike came from the factory with a hand or foot shifter). The tank shift (style) continued to be optional until 1977.
Sweet !! 40 years ago my dad had a 1955 pan head look just like this one this bike didn't come from Clemson / Seneca South Carolina area did it sure wish I knew where it was my dad died 11-11-11 and we rode a lot of bikes but the 1955 pan was the first bike I ever rode on i was 6 years old then.
I have a 2024 limited edition Hydra Glide Revival. I named her Fire Eyes. I’m gonna base its accessories based on this bike. I’ll add a rack behind the seat. I wonder where i can get that logo by the front tire. Thank you for this video
After you rode up and down the street and the put it on the stand and revved it, I noticed the kicker pedal would start spinning. Could there be an exhaust leak at a pipe joint?
I learn so much watching your vids. Thanks for the model designation break-down. but what does the FL stand for? Your passion and dedication and knowledge are inspiring.
Harley Davidson did not produce a prototype until 1904. A motorcycle in actual production until 1905. 1903 saw a drawing for a motor. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1954 and 55 because of this
I had a red one I should’ve never sold it I remember paying 2600 bucks for it and thinking oh my god so much money Anybody know what this bike is worth now
You must have some Bloodhound blood in you. How the hell do you find all these bikes? The data bank in your head must hurt your skull to be able to remember all the stuff in there.
I love your bikes and videos, BUT, you don't need an apostrophe for Hunting Harleys. It's plural, not possesive or a contraction (like don't or isn't). Just because it's plural, it doesn't need an apostrophe.
+Warren Johnson I know your comment is 2 yrs old but I was wondering if you could help me with my spelling ? I came to this video to see another pan like mine & realized I needed better grammar before I take the knuckle out today .
One of the most handsome bikes ever created by "organized man", except for that big ugly-ass buddy seat... Put a Schwinn Airdyne seat on my 68' FLH, looks good ! ...
You've got silver plated brass balls parking that 55 on that bend judging by the flow of traffic. Im sure you have all the insurance needed to have it repaired but it wont be original after the hit. Great looking bike otherwise. ps, I enjoy your vids.
somehow when you start up these beautiful old machines up it makes me grin with a happy smile . your vids are simply awesome. thanks

The 'cool blue pearl' on my 2011 RKC is very reminiscent of that color; what an amazing looking machine! Truly a classic!
Brave man parked right on that turn with cars passing. Nice panhead !
I was thinking the same thing. A person driving and texting or 2 trucks meeting at that spot and goodbye original paint job.

this one came from the Minnesota / Wisconsin area from the original owner. Did you dad have a blue and white like this, SAME paint?

Nice bike Todd. Just a classic design that seems to be pretty much timeless, the new ones try to copy the old ones!! go figure. awesome videos.
Esta es una moto muy especial , una de las Harleys que más me gustan .

They all do that if you rev them, just vibration.
Nice bike
if you meant tank shifter, the hand shift foot clutch was last offered 1978. The last shift actually connected to the gas tank was 1965

I learn so much watching your vids. Thanks for the model designation break-down. but what does the FL stand for? Your passion and dedication and knowledge are inspiring.

Are you really going on you tube trying to give grammar lessons? Unfortunately I think your advice is going to fall on deaf ears this time.
Nova Z +Warren Johnson true, does not NEED one, but it CAN be used. Does it matter?
