I am an African American with Igbo ancestry, watching from Los Angeles, California. 23& me tells me that a large chunk of my DNA that comes from the Nigerian part of the world is identical to people in the IMO state! ❤
It is amazing how the old woman is still agile and even running errands on her bicycle. Unpolluted air and fresh organic produce are really the secrets to long life! Happy new year doll. Looking forward to your channel growing in leaps and bounds this year
This came up on my recommendations and I’m glad it did because I fully enjoyed it. As an imo state babe who’s never been to imo state. Thank you for sharing.
Hi chantel, i enjoyed the masquerade clip please always do more of the video's. Am from UMUGUMA IHIOMA in Orlu i really missed the masquerade festival. I love my culture
I totally enjoyed this vlog!!!!!! I haven't been to my village in like 20yrs now I remember how village life used to be... Love you girl! And Happy New year!!!!!!
Awww...1 of my aunts attended Ihioma Girls Secondary School. I’ll update the link in my description please, don’t have it at the top of my head now 🙏🏾. Thanks for watching hun.
My husband is from Atta in Njaba , he rarely watches TH-cam videos but I found him watching this one in my absence and he’s so glad he saw this vlog on the tv. He recognized some places from Amiri. Thanks for this vlog 😍
That village glow no be small o 😍😍😍 The part when you were chastising Shawn and was like "did I just tell someone somethinggg?" Such a mom looool 😂😂😂 And I get what you mean about village enjoyment. As a kid, I would go and explore, walk to the market, rent movies, etc. Unlike some parents who come from abroad, mine didn't shelter us excessively, which I appreciate. But now, I don't go out as much besides church, visiting fam, or going to town, especially after an event that kinda compromised the safety of the family. What I look forward to most when staying in the village is family, not necessarily just the village experience per se, if you get me. Don't get me wrong o, I love the village. Also, I loved that instrumental you used in the opening sequence after the intro. Something so... homey about it. Lastly, did it already on ig, but wanted to wish you happy new year here 🎊🎉❤
Hahah..& he listens oh! My baby 🐶😍. I understand your stance, I get tired of the village environment especially the lack of network for calls and data. Thank you for watching my darling Tochi..Happy New Year😘.
You look so beautiful love your dress .Thanks for sharing your village & your lovely family really enjoy the vlog .Happy New Year my dear wish you all the best for the year 2020 success in everything you do stay blessed.💜❤🎉👏🙏💃

Wow,I'm from Orlu too.... I remember going round to greet people whenever we travel for Christmas. Then my mum would warn us seriously about collecting things from people,so funny now. Oh, over the summer, I found out that there was a snake found and killed in our family compound, that's extended, not immediate fam, and it was an eke too, big ole thing 😖 It came from under my aunt's mattress (some of the rooms are outside, so it's not like it was in the main house), so we think it was almost like living with her in her room, just don't know for how long 😖😖😖😖😖 The snake was playing hide and seek before it eventually got caught and, well you know the rest
very interesting. but you guys have got a big compound. I mean you've got enough land for raising fish . grow some crops. I am sure that you've got some livestock. I mean you got to take that motherlover up men. deep down girl. nothing beats the village lifestyle.
