Yes he should have . Ras even told him he can do whatever he wants when he takes his place ; he doesn’t have to follow ras’s current ways which oliver disagrees with . He should’ve became ras and he could have changed the world
If he became Ra's al Ghul then so many things could've been different after season 3. Diaz, Chase, and Dante would be dead men (give Darhk time). The League could've been modernized and cleansed this world. He could've found the Bat and come into conflict with him. But then the multiverse probably would've been the antimatter universe.
Given Batman left around the time of Ra's trying to force Oliver to be his heir and his death, its possible he'd still be active if Oliver did become Ra's al Ghul
Diaz and chase would have a chance dead the moment they set foot in starling city, dante would definitely be stopped and hopefully ollie could save emiko and redeem her. League definitely could be modernized with a more advance intel network, upgrade weaponry and technology. As for the bat yeah other than the whole killing and the natural paranioa the "detective" is kmown for id say theyre relationship wouldve civil and profesional oliver stays out of gotham, bats stays out of starling everywhere else is fair game or hell they could actually work together granted both have similar personality traits
I understands why he questions himself and sees everything he has done as the Arrow in a retrospective way. If he became the new Ras Al Ghul he must give up everything he stands for but in a way he will bring a brutal form of Justice to the criminals ruining the city he lives in.

he should've been ra's al ghul. as ra's he can possess all that he wanted and has control over an army of trained killers. he could deploy them like the guys from assasin's creed storyline. from what i can tell, arrow is in a way, assasin's creed for the first three seasons. hooded vigilante killer who took out sources and the figureheads of corruption and becoming ra's is the same as becoming the mentor for the botherhood.
Bboy Mannases he could’ve just trained with ras for like a month or something and then jus kill him.... and then use then change the league and use it for his benefits and bring the league to diggle and felicity and yh...Damien darhk would’ve been finished the only problem would be Prometheus and maybe 9th circle actually not 9th circle the league could smack them with their eyes closed
I'm sorry my guy that was never stated...ras al ghul and the league of assasins are not something to fuck with..not even in the comics only the truly skilled and powerful people can go beef them otherwise the ninth circle is just a mercenary organisation...nothing to fear unlike loa
@@thomasrobinson529 Actually, Ra's mentioned that particular problem and told him, that when he becomes the new boss, he simply can order (and train) them to not kill. if I rememver correctly, the League showed that they are capable of that in the fight against Slades army.
This struggle made no sense. For Batman it was real because of that 'no killing' rule he has and he can't brake it, and being Ra's Al Ghul requires him to kill the previous one. Oliver was a notorious killer so for him taking a 'moral highground' way is bullshit and feels forced. He could stop a lot more deaths just by killing one man, and he has killed many before. They tried to copy and paste an arc from Batman to Arrow one to one and it just doesn't work.
The fact that ALL season long they pronounced it "Rahs" instead of "Raysh" drove me crazy. Additionally, Oliver should've absolutely taken' Ra's al Ghul's offer. There was literally no reason not to, as he could've done more for not only the city, but the world....a kind of Green Arrow Incorporated, but through the League of Assassins.
Every hero can't be perfect. And as much I hated he considering becoming the new Ras Al Ghoul i can understand why Oliver 0:01 considering the offer. Looks what happened in the past months this season he couldn't accept his feelings for Fecilty Sara died. Top of that he was still healing from his mother being murdered in front of him because he couldn't protect her from Slade .Ras Al Ghoul was showing him by joining and becoming the leader he can have unlimited resources and better protection for his loves ones.
I really wish the writers hadn't made destroying Starling a necessity for Oliver to become Ra's Al Ghul. It just made it so obvious at that point that he wasn't going to do it.
“What have we done?” Saved the multiverse. A true hero
Too far lol
Oliver as ras al ghul definitely would be a good story line
i love how diggle says that felicity is "momentarily" unavailable :p
I feel like Oliver should have become Ras al Ghul
King Dragold he shoulda done what thea did and make a “league of heros”
Yes he should have . Ras even told him he can do whatever he wants when he takes his place ; he doesn’t have to follow ras’s current ways which oliver disagrees with . He should’ve became ras and he could have changed the world
To become Ras you have to destroy the city where you are born.
Rajbir Singh fake a chemical explosion and force everyone out. Then destroy the city. The guy should have become Ras.

I feel like this episode kind of sums up the struggle of being a superhero and the reason that struggle is carried

This scene is why he would logically take the mantle of Ra's Al Ghul. If he had he could've actually saved the city.

Shades of the "Dark Empire" comics sums this one story arc up perfectly!

He wanted to become someone else.... something, else. And he did.
He should've become Ra's Al Ghul. He could've reformed the League like Thea and Talia are doing now.

Yep. And she reformed the League of Assassins to be the League of Heroes and leads it with Talia.

Im watching season six and it is really reminding me of what Ra's said in this season. Anyone agree?
Both seasons had very similar themes
