I’m on a Natasha Newton binge. You’re helping me put together an art pile for a dear friend. We’re going on a breast cancer retreat this week and I’m so exited for it. She briefly mentioned (after knowing her for years!) that she’d played with water colours once and loved it. Well, I just had to put together a pallet, various papers and whatnots, didn’t I? Haha. How exciting a new kind of unboxing video,with an air of mystery!! I think these subscriotion box services are a great idea,and a good way to find new inspiration. I have a feeling the people from this company have been watching your channel so had an idea of what to send you.,in that the colours and the materials seemed perfect for you some definate as you often say .natasha newton colour; in this art supply box.The sketchbook looks aazing and of a really good quality paper too. I love your pebble swatching,it shows off colours so well and the effects you can get with the paint. I love the Micron pens too they are a staple for me as well. So great to see you create a new bird painting and the colours in this box were perfect for him. I think also only using the suppplies in the box is a good way to further your colour mixing skills too and for a mixed media artist as you are a box like this is a great way to discover new materails as well. There are other such art box subscriptions like "Scrawler Box" and "Art Snacks" and "Sketchables" But Upcrate looks like a good one to try and I love the keyhole in the box which adds to the element of mystery before you open it. This was a fun video to watch and see what you created too,it's always lovely to see you paint in real time. Hope the trip to Suffolk is inspiring you too and giving you a liile time out as well. Lovely video as usual, and I’m just wondering if you’d consider doing a studio/house tour again like you did ages ago, and show us the progress of your renovations? Maybe it would be a nice break from haul videos (I’m not complaining 😂)

FYI anyone who’s been trying to get A GALLO HANDMADE paints from a small family business in Italy , Jackson’s now has thwm and I imagine not for long has A GALLO SELLS OUT WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF POSTING THEIR HANDMADE WATERCOLORS, and on sale, usually sell out within one hour they’re sold out and they’re way cheaper I got 10 for 83$ including shipping to USA
I recently stop a art box subscription(it was scrawlrbox), not cos I’m not enjoying but I’ve got about 6 boxes I’ve not have time to use. But they have allows my to try alcohol marker, alcohol ink, color pencils and so many different colors of paper. They are wonderful

Wow, that's a pretty full box for the price! The magazine looks pretty helpful compared to a lot of the other art subscription boxes I've seen reviewed on TH-cam, too. I have been considering trying out scrawlrbox for a while now, but for a couple of pounds more, this might be an even better option.
It's such a good deal! The materials in this box cost about 40 euros (I added them up!) and the boxes are priced at 22 euros per month. Don't forget to use the 15% off code if you do decide to go for it!
that ink eraser looks fascinating! I use bleach on ink and it does something similar and I wonder if it has bleach components in it! I love your creativity. Inspires me to paint more

That bird is beautiful! And is such a good example of what can be achieved with just a few supplies. Watching your videos always gets me in an mood to go and create something myself. Those little butterflies was so fun, I’m intrigued by the little bottle of “take colour away”, did you try it on the watercolour paint? And also a question about the dr ph Martin white. Did you apply that with a brush? Was it mixed with water in order to do that? And if so is it still bleed proof? Sorry for my many questions :) hope you have a wonderful day!
Thanks Cecilia! I once tried it on a spot of watercolour paint that had accidentally got onto some paper and it did get rid of it! So I'm guessing that it works on watercolour paint even though they say it isn't meant for that? And yes, I do apply the Dr Ph Martin's with a brush. I tend to water it down a little on the palette. I'm not sure if this affects the bleed-proof quality - I'm only using it with watercolours or gouache and I haven't had a problem!

Lovely Natasha! I enjoy using Van Gogh paints and love the fact that so many of the colours in the range have an excellent lightfast rating. They are also highly pig,enter. The price point is ridiculously cheap, at least for us in Europe. What an interesting product that tip-ex type liquid is. What did you think of it? Hi Anita! I must admit that I was really surprised by the quality of the Van Gogh paints! I assumed that because they're fairly inexpensive that they wouldn't be that good, but they're wonderful to work with. By the way, I hope you enjoy your subscription box when it arrives (it has probably arrived by now as I'm so late answering these comments and trying to catch up today!). I did like the Brushex liquid - I think it could be interesting for details and effects. I can imagine using it with a dip pen. I'm going to experiment more with it! xx
glorious times, back then when Upcrate had really cool stuff with them. I watch an unboxing of every single box and sadly the quality has rapidly declined. They now quit making the actually physical magazine and only have this online which I find sad but I guess there is pros and cons about that. I fully understand that everything became more expensive and all, but it almost seems to scream they just want to go on a budget. Sad, they used to be so cool. I would rather pay more, but maintain that quality.
