good breakdown dude, but, you completely forgot *Demon Slam*(Possessed), *TK Slash*(Balanced) or the *"Grab"*(Kenjutsu), basically full, mid, and close screen overhead moves, on Kenjutsu, is just a "Grab"......
You didn't highlight the DB4 for Balanced or Possessed. Balanced hits overhead and Possesed hits low. EX DB4 in Possessed is a great combo extender and can be dangerous once you condition the opponent to block the overhead from DF4 or from DB2. Otherwise great video!
Just want to say that in kenjutsu variation, he has a very great mixup - 3 1 1 for low, 3 1 and cancel into down forward 1 for overhead. It's very hard to deal with and is a great 50/50.
TheEtoimos That's the mixup - you either input the last 1 and get a low, or you instead use the overhead special. Ex it for a combo. It's relatively hard to react to.
Fantastic videos so far! Have you got one for quan chi coming soon? I was a huge quan main in mk9 but am having a hard time adjusting to his slower teleport and trance :(
Until they release Rain in a DLC, Kenshi is my main. Trying to land low-damage combos using Balanced and Kenjutsu doesn't seem too difficult (usually involving 114+QCB1+special). However, trying to get combos over 25 percent using less than 2 meter bars is difficult for me at the moment.
29 % with one bar, 42% with one bar (corner) in kenjustsu, is pretty simple , B1,DB1 (meterburn),D2 is 29% , can also BF3 at the end to make it 33% with one meter
So do you think Kenshi would be a good secondary character for a D'Vorah main? I love space oriented defense/balance rush characters. Any other secondary character recommendations?
Anyone have any tips for maining Kenshi? I just love the design and moves for this character but I'm worried it'll be difficult to use him effectively (I'm not bad but I'm not good at MK :) )
1evanc kenjustu for in your face, but his combo damage isnt very good, and has little to no potential imo, forces you to ex in combos all the time, i use balanced, hes a zoner, takes time to learn, different pace, but also good rush down, has good mixups if your creative with him, utilize all of his strings and specials, x ray is insanely easy to combo into, and the combos hit 30 percent easy with no meter, put pressure on your opponent, balanced is pretty intimidating when someone knows how to use it, and get your run down in mid combos for mixups, its fun
There's usually a variation for each returning character that's supposed to be their MK9 moveset. It's just for returning players that don't feel like experimenting...
Let's see Balance is based around his MK9 playstyle(not exactly the same, for better or worse I guess).I think this one is more to make MK9 Kenshi players to feel right at home. Kenjutsu is more of a classic Kenshi playstyle,he has all of his moves from MKDA like the TK slam and TK push aswell as being more of a swordsmen like he was in MKDA. Possessed is a completely new playstyle for Kenshi.
It's really easy to follow considering how in depth these tutorials are... you've got yourself a new subscriber man! Keep up the good work!
***** yo man, are you going to do kenshi combo tutorials?
good breakdown dude, but, you completely forgot *Demon Slam*(Possessed), *TK Slash*(Balanced) or the *"Grab"*(Kenjutsu), basically full, mid, and close screen overhead moves, on Kenjutsu, is just a "Grab"......
Thanks to you man, ima able to pull off a 50% damage kombo!
Really like this videos man, really helps someone like me who sucks at fighting games and wants to get better.
Best one yet! I love this character SO much! Thank you! Now to wait for mah Shinnok.....
Wait, doesn't Kenshi have a special that comes down from the sky, and a sword spin in Kenjustu?
love these videos man
dude. jus found your channel! suscribed. awesome breakdown videos! i appreciate the time you take to make these videos! :)
why am I still up ?
Possessed has some great corner combos

You didn't touch on the possessed down back 4. Very useful for zoning and ex for combo starting.
Fantastic videos so far! Have you got one for quan chi coming soon? I was a huge quan main in mk9 but am having a hard time adjusting to his slower teleport and trance :(
You didn't mention his db4 special in balance and possessed
Kenshi looked stronger in MK9 but he's still one of my favorite fighters in MKX
His zoning tools where just kinda better, also had amazing reach in that game.
great job
I understand the Shinnok trouble, but would still love you if you made some sorcerer tuts. So Quan or Ermac

Check out the vid I just upload bro and it's a few good combos with zero to 3 meters. For 30%-53%
If you're trying to get over 25, try B,Y,X- Rising Karma, Forward A, Y, then xray.
I forgot to add, it does 50% damage
29 % with one bar, 42% with one bar (corner) in kenjustsu, is pretty simple , B1,DB1 (meterburn),D2 is 29% , can also BF3 at the end to make it 33% with one meter

Raiden?
Kenshi confirmed for Death 13 user.
Are you going to do combo tutorials? If so, you you have a patreon page for supporting?

kenshi is so cool
I've thought about trying to learn kenshi since his design interests me the most. What do you think is his best variation for a newbie MK player?
TheEtoimos his balanced mixups are actually pretty good once you figure them out, you gotta be creative with him
***** kenjustu, is the most new player friendly
+Grand DunkMastah really? I expected balanced to be the best noob friendly, I'll give kenjustu more time to test it out
good video, but you forgot to mention df1 in kenjutsu
fuck yea!!!
Sajam help me learn marvel, nightwing & kenshi💯🍻😁
hoping for mileena soon sajam. love the mkx contents!
possessed kenshi is def max's char
Anyone have any tips for maining Kenshi? I just love the design and moves for this character but I'm worried it'll be difficult to use him effectively (I'm not bad but I'm not good at MK :) )
Just learn his basic combos, and then once you mastered them, mix them up with some enhanced specials and xray
1evanc never touched possesed, but its rough to play against
Balanced kenshi's specials are EXACTLY the same as mk9.... Same inputs and moves :( feels a bit lazy to me
