I’ve been wanting an ELRS surface radio for a long time for the range for speed running. So far had to use a stick radio which is not what I wanted. This is awesome!
'Cheap plastic' aka everything spektrum! I had the biggest pile of 💩, ix20se. Sold that pos for $500 & bought my tx16s! BEST electronic purchase of my life! Currently have the futaba (surface) tx. WILL BE ordering this soon as it's available!
I am using a Radiomaster tx16s (with OpenTX) for my RC earthmovers and it is amazing. The mixing and programming that OpenTX/EdgeTX allow, together with the multi-module choice of compact and affordable receivers is great. This will be a great radio for everybody who does not need to operate 4 or more functions at the same time!
I want to know if this (with the 4-in-1 module) will work with the Losi Promoto mx 1/4-scale motorcycle and, if so, how you would need to program it for that RC motorcycle. It would also be interesting to see if this motor cycle will work as well with a ELRS receiver but I doubt it as the receiver provides some stabilization functionality.
@@old-rcplane-phart I know that but will all the features of the original transmitter be supported on the Radio Master MT12? If so, how do you configure the Radio Master MT12 to support all features?
@bitogre I assume the 4 in 1 & elrs are the same 'chip' as in my tx16s. That being said, 4 in 1 does bind to every reciever. I bound my tx16s to a Walmart $20 toy (I had to know), & a buddies generic rc tank. It should bind with any rx & 1 can setup more than the 'standard' mixes & features. Hope this helps.
@@old-rcplane-phart No, the 4-in-1 cannot talk ELRS as the 4-in-1 is in fact 4 chips (hence the name) but does include the chip needed for ELRS (which is based on LORA, not supported by any of the 4 chips).
Hello me I ask if it is normal about radiomaster mt12 when the receiver battery inside RC buggy is drop about 40% the Rx signal will drop maximum 4 bars drops to 2bars and the calibration of steering will delay? I'm using radio master mt12 4in1
I really hope that this takes off, Futaba and ESPECIALLY Sanwa have driven the remote control market to such insane prices its not even funny; I mean: 70-80€ for a receiver?! The ELRS receivers have more range, about the same latency and even a friggin voltage probe integrated (something that costs another 80€ for Sanwa/Futaba and doesnt even work beyond 4S systems) for just 20-24€. And not to mention: they get constant firmware upgrades, for more features like SBUS (to use Futaba SR comaptible servos) and might even see Sanwa SSR in the future.
You way under sold it. So what it does ELRS, that would just seem like yet another receiver to a surface guy. I came from fixed wing and quads using OpenTx to ground vehicles and couldn't believe how limited the surface radios were. Mixing, channel assignment, sound, verbal telemetry, programming, mixes are awful or don't exist on them. Not to mention an EdgeTx transmitter where you can use a 4 in 1 module and control all your existing cars - futaba, spektrum, wltoys without having to replace any of your receivers.

This is so awesome! My go to flight radio is a TX16S, now I will have a RadioMaster for my cars and boats as well.😀

ELRS also allows for 16 channels. You can connect to multiple receivers for adding channels. No need to go 4in1 for that.

4 in 1 is spektrum (aka rektum) compatible.

It feels like Radiomaster and the ELRS gods are actually listening to their customer base.

What kind of range can you get on this on an RC car?
Anyone know what the response time is? Seen a few reviews now and no mention of this.

Mt12 latency test. Seems fast enough for racing, what do you think?
@@kaptkronik135 it actually tested sub 5ms so yes I'd say so.

It's not on your site.
Not available yet. End of November.
I don't even have a surface based RC and I still want one lol.
