Why people are crazy about 7seats? How many of the 7seater woners are using tem and how many times in a month and are they comfortable? If you want to travel with all your family members in one car, what about your brothers and sisters? If you think in that manner you need a mini BUS.
Smartly styled interior and exterior. Good features. Just enough space. Poor engine choices and exorbitant price. You get more power from a Verna diesel which is less than half the price! If the owner sticks to cities, it makes for a viable proposition but if he/she decides to take it to the highways they'll be left wanting more grunt from something so expensive. I think it has what it takes to be the most luxurious SUV in its segment with the sharp looks on the outside and futuristic interior but I don't think it will be a runaway success for Honda this time with the CR-V because gone is that 2.4L petrol engine which churned out a strong 185hp. It drove well, felt car like and was priced aggressively. This one neither has the grunt under the hood, nor the fuel efficiency. Despite being high on practicality and having a nine speed gearbox, I would still go in for the Hyundai Tucson because of its tried and tested 2.0L CRDi Diesel engine and the built quality of that car. A nine speed gearbox can be done away with in an SUV and the third row seats are mostly meant for the children and are of seldom use for the adults. Also, it will definitely be cheaper than the CR-V and comes with an all wheel drive function, too.
for people who are complaining it is too expensive. it is not .Honda is not asking 40L its only charging 25L the rest 60% of 25L i.e 15L you are paying to Indian government because this is an import vehicle
Why do the premium SUVs not seem to have any power? Be it CRV, Tucson, Tiguain. Forces you to consider Fortuner and Endeavour which lack on the interiors in comparison. It's really impossible to find a car that gets you everything inside 50L
Why india has such low standard in providing quality engines is beyond my imagination. And we are talking about Honda here, the world's best engine manufacturer.
Sounds like it will be a hard time overtaking on highways in a petrol CRV. If there is no enough power on the tap overtaking in a such a big vehicle will be a headache. I am striking this car out of my list

this should have been priced in competition with tucson,compass etc as its a 5 seater (practically) and even in its size it nowhere can compete with the big boys endeavour and fortuner or the luxurious kodiaq so byee honda for this one

U can't mate.. CRV might hit if they launch within 28 lakh on road Bcz at price point of 35-38laks..this car have no chance against mighty Fortuner & endevour.. Kodiaq is 44lakh onroad & considering skoda after maintenance cost...that car doesn't justify her price tag.. On of my relative baught skoda supurb in 2014 @ price tag of 30lakh & unfortunately in today's date no one willing to pay more then 5-6 lakhs on that car.. On other hand Same year(2014) Fortuner cost almost 17-18 lakhs
With all the specs shown and having understood them by watching this review video the price at which Honda's this new offering come or would come is not justifying. It's definitely low on power(both diesel and petrol) and it's surely not a full fledged suv as well. The one thing which took me by surprise and will take days for me to digest is the fact that there are no paddle shifters in the petrol varient and it comes with sitting capacity of 5 passengers only. Keeping every aspect of this review in mind the car should have been priced same as the hyudai Tucson because this car does comes out as hyundai Tuscon killer as well,forget comparing it with the lights of Fortuner and Endeavour.
As far as im concerned, considering the price you have to pull in its way too underpowered .. 2 segments dwn ull get more power thn this.. a valid comment is possible only if we testdrive one.. my comment is based on the spec on paper..hope honda add feautures lyk ventillated seat and 3d camera for convenience

It will not cost the same as other heavy engines.. it will be around 5 lacs cheaper than others

It has always been a comfortable on road suv an outstanding long distance commuters suv but nothing good off road

The only top of end model will get third row and the windows back there are too small.
It will compete Tucson not Fortuner or Endeavour... Pricing will start at around 19 lacs for petrol and it will end at around 25 lacs for diesel..
If they add third row in the suv, seats must be comfortable or it should be left altogether... In this case, I appreciate third seat row in Tata Hexa.
