Somebody paid one big ass bribe to get the "courts" to back this crap. How the hell are the owners of the building magically not responsible for maintaining it? Imagine Avis or Hertz charging renters to service and MOT vehicles they rent out.

In Poland when you have your own flat you really feel that it is your here leashold is just a better version of renting .I don't feel that it is belonging to me .Your landlord will charge invisible costs including in service charge .I would prefer to pay fully and have a flat on my own land .It is not cheaper to be leashold ,it is more expensive when you look into this .Pensioners can't afford for such living .Together with energy bill it is the 50% cost of renting.leasehold needs reform. They will charge you 6000£ yearly for cutting an acre of grass .
