It's so difficult to deal with, especially during teenage years. It scars you emotionally. I never had cystic acne on my face, but I did have it on my back and if was horrible. It hurt to wear clothes sometimes, or wearing backpacks, and it was a huge concern when dressing up in the summer. I had common acne on my face too. I went through accutane at 18 after trying a few "softer" meds and it was gone.
I'm a geek about skincare because of it because I still get the occasional pimple.
Iris should have her own yt channel for videos like these. She’s so sweet and truly thinks about the audience not just herself - if that makes sense. It’s giving cute older sis showing her products and giving advise🥰

I’ve suffered with acne since about the age of 10, I’m 27 now. It really would’ve helped me when I was growing up hearing someone like Iris talk about having acne. Great video!
Acne is a mindset. Like she said -even when it disappears, what you went through stays with you. French farmacies are great and polish ones as well and amazing drug stores!! There is so very little products in England, I always shop in Poland, Germany or France
Every feature on her face is stunning. Lips, teeth, shape of her cheeks and jaw, nose and those eyes!! Wow
it's so comforting to hear someone be open about their acne journey and all of the procedures they went through, because the majority of famous people don't talk about it (which is valid) or mostly just namedrop brands, and as someone with acne it made me feel like maybe my case was beyond being manageable. knowing about the kinds of treatment you can get gives me hope

Thank you for sharing your acne journey and being so honest. Only those who have had it and bad enough to go through accutane know the emotional and psychological scars that it can leave too! Just dismiss it like it's not a thing but we know!!! It worked for me and now adapalene and BP keep me clear, but you got me thinking about scar removal now.

This is exacly what helps acne actually. I have life long acne, Skinoren did do much for me, but Benzoyl Peroxide gel 5% and differin combo-- are still my mantra to this day (I'm 37). La Roche Posay is good, also Cerave brand is a holy grail to try.

Warning to anybody wanting to take Spironolactone: it DOES have side effects despite what your derm will tell you. I was on it for 7 years. During that time, I was always having to pee to the point where I couldn't sleep through the night. It also caused hair loss. When I finally got off it, my eyes became red & super dry. It's been a year off it & my eyes are STILL constantly burning, red and dry. I'm still having to pee all the time. And my hair, yep it's still a mess. The medication may have cleared my acne while I was on it, but it absolutely caused a lot of problems I'm still dealing with today.
Really sorry to hear that! Got on it for acne and hair loss too, and it made the shedding even worse. Waited for a few months for the "dread shed" to stabilise, but it never did. Had to get off it and my scalp is still in its recovery phase after all these years

@@Krystalwatchesvideos no, I struggled with an extremely tender scalp, but I don't recall getting scalp sores. Have you tried using any medicated shampoo for that?
@@browneyedella Yep, went to the dermatologist. Medicated shampoo doesn’t seem to be working. Maybe it just takes time 🤷♀️

I found myself thinking omg I’m not the only one when she talked about having acne and what she’s taken and uses! The face touching comment rang so true with me to the point I won’t even touch my own face if I’ve got hand cream on for fear it brings my acne back. The roacutaine/lip balm comment also! And finally the blotting paper. I use it more then once a day and for an oily acne prone girl who doesn’t want to reapply powder all day, it’s a life saver, especially the ones with the puff and compact so I’m not touching my skin through the paper.

The La Roche Posay is the most hydrating line I've ever used. Just want to share how I cleaned up my acne:
1. Eat healthy! What you put into your body reflects on your skin. I recommend fruits, veggies and tons of water! Until your pee is clear.
2. Stress reduction. Yoga, pilates or any low impact workouts help to reduce your cortisol levels.
3. Less is more! Using less products on your face is actually better. A basic cleanser, a good moisturizer and sun screen when you're outdoors is all you need.
4. Sleep! Not only will it help your stress reduce, and energy levels go up- along with your skin clearing up. Make sure to change your pillow cases and bed sheets frequently.
