    I'm a dad and I'm homeschooling my daughter, she's the whole universe to me, and I want to give her the most gentle, wholesome, magical, and fulfilling upbringing. She just turned 5 and we're working on addition and subtraction, reading syllable by syllable to read small and larger words, and I'm amazed at how perceptive she is. Especially compared to me, at 32 I am nowhere near her level of picking things up so quickly ha. But writing is where she needs the most focus at the moment.

    I'm starting tot school with Tripp on Tuesday too! thisreadingmama.com is an AWESOME resource for homeschool mamas
    I like to do our lessons outside at the park while Tripp is taking a snack break or we will sit at our table in my garden reading books. The beauty of homeschool is that you are not bond to one room.

    • @BrittanyLynnHomeschool
      @BrittanyLynnHomeschool  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well we didn't officially "start" homeschool when she was just about 3. But, we had done tons of learning, flash cards, color and shape matching, since she was 4 months old. She showed signs of learning when she was very young. She spoke early, learned her alphabet and counted to 10 at about 2 years old.

    • @karaa7595

    • @BrittanyLynnHomeschool

      kids all have different attention spans, so it can be difficult. Try to work with what you have. If he will only sit for 5-10 minutes, then utilize that time appropriately. Maybe you can get a few sessions in each day and gradually build the time up.

      My son is a reluctant learner. Consistency with reluctant learners is so so so important. Even if you aren’t doing school, do a fun activity like coloring or puzzles or a game that he has to sit at a table for a period of time. And once they know that they have to sit down no matter what for a certain amount of time it was easier to introduce learning to him.
