You could make this video every year. We moved to Cary in 2015 and it's amazing how much it has changed even since then. One of the best decisions of my life was buying a starter home in Cary in 2016 followed by moving to Rolesville in 2022 and keeping that Cary home as a rental property.
Great video, thanks! I couldn’t afford to buy a house here but I can afford the rent which works for me! Looks like a beautiful town with lots of great food and parks. Sounds like everyone has a different viewpoint depending on where they’re moving from. To each their own but it looks like a great fit for me personally.
Another great video. I'm from Rhode Island. Moved here 2 years ago and love it! But... Another thing you must know before moving to Cary. I'm sure this has been covered many times...there are a lot of bad drivers. It's a melting pot of people all over the state and country. I've seen about 2-3 car accidents every week?!?!?! It's so bad that I bought a dash cam lol.
Fayetteville NC is THE premiere place to be!! Lots of diversity, restaurants of all kinds, southern cusine included footnote: just make sure you carry a 9 with you at all times. day/night 24/7 head on a swivel, 24/7. however, there are armed security guards in local supermarkets! A definite plus!
Why did you touch on the sports scene in Cary? Wake Med Soccer Park is known internationally many moving into the area have kids who play soccer, and the USA Baseball complex is one of the best . I spend time in Cary.I love it
How can you ensure that you find good schools for your kids? On most rankings NC has a very low rating for public schools. That kind of surprised me. And scores for particular schools are usually only relative to other schools in that state.
You can check GreatSchools.org. If you want someone to talk to about schools, we have a contact that specializes in schools and can help you. Email us if you want their info.
Great video, thank you!! Visited Cary, fell in love with the area, and looking for a home here. The only thing I am a little worried about, is the area seem to be very religious and not diverse. Since we are secular, should this be a consideration?
You are contradicting yourself by saying you are a secularist hence you’re concerned (hate) that so many ppl follow just one particular religion and not multiple religions. 🙄🙄 A secularist is a live and let live kind of person and has no concern or hate for anyone being super religious.
I am looking to relocate to Raleigh next year. What would be your recommendation for another great location outside of Cary with reasonable townhome prices and schools since Cary seems to be getting overcrowded? Thank you
Hey Chris- Specific question for you. I keep up with all your videos and use redfin data center. YoY drops nationally are very noticeable. 7% nationally for "medium sale price" per redfin. But I live in Raleigh and even though Raleigh went through insane price gains, the YoY is sitting strong at 18%. I am very confused. If Raleigh increased so much, why is it not dropping like other states?
We've done some videos on this topic. Raleigh is one of the highest demand cities in the US and with all the tech companies and WFH people relocating here, it is keeping demand strong
We did a video like this one specifically about Holly Springs. Most people do not seem to be overly concerned about it, but we encourage everyone to do their own research.
Apex and Cary are extremely similar. They almost feel like the same city. We did a video like this one about Apex you should watch that and it may be helpful.
Cary used to be a great place, Not anymore. It is extremely overcrowded. Beautiful scenery being destroyed for housing. Roads cannot handle the influx of people. Traffic is a disaster. Schools overcrowded. The local people who’s been here a long time complain about this and wish all you people wouldn’t come here.
I grew up in Fort Myers, FL and said the same thing about the huge influx of people. I just moved to north FL from Sarasota and it was the same thing. People want to live in nice towns. Some of them will love it and some will move back to where they came from, nothing you can do about it. I figure it’s better to make new friends than be rude.
I am wanting to move from Florida too, but we are here to visit different cities in NC.. so far all the nice places are miserable with traffic. I don’t mind a lot of people , but spending my time in traffic everyday takes away from it. I went to Denver, NC, thinking it would nice to be near Lake Norman.. it was old and awful. There are some nice housing neighborhoods, but the town looks like a neglected, boring place with no culture, no interesting restaurants or shops. Cornelius is nice, but again, miserable traffic
@@britestarrsl5651 the other thing to be aware of in that area is the cancer clusters, specifically Cornelius and Huntersville. I looked into Cornelius as well but the high cancer rate scared me off.
Hello Sir, I just watched a video of a white man refusing a young black child to trick or treat at this house but allowed other white kids to grab candy. One of the comments under the video read that Cary is the most rich and racist city in NC. Is there truth to this? Is Cary saturate in racism?

Cary definitely has it's share of wild drivers
Good job on this video Chris. We are glad to buy here in 2019 before all the madness. "Put on your big boy pants " lol. Thx!
Thank you! Yep lol
Great and informative video! Are there plans for a video on the upcoming Chatham Park planned community?
Thank you! Yes, we'll definitely put that in a video

Cary was essentially non-existent when I went to St Mary’s in the mid 80’s. There was no reason to go past Meredith on Hillsborough St.
It's grown up a lot!

I’m moving to Cary in May and I’m not religious at all. We can be friends lol
Great video!
Thank you!
Cary is very urban. Feels very foreign the roads are different from anything in North Carolina
Cary was well planned out compared to most cities in NC
I am looking to relocate to Raleigh next year. What would be your recommendation for another great location outside of Cary with reasonable townhome prices and schools since Cary seems to be getting overcrowded?
Thank you
Some cities near Cary are Apex, Holly Springs, and Fuquay-Varina. I would suggest checking those out. We did a video comparing the 3 a few weeks ago
Garner or Clayton

Hi! I want to move to Cary from California.
Would I get a basement in a Cary home? Or Raleigh home?
You can get one in either place.
Apex vs Cary, which would you recommend more for families with kids?
Apex and Cary are extremely similar. They almost feel like the same city. We did a video like this one about Apex you should watch that and it may be helpful.
Cary makes.... the world takes
170K people and that’s crowded!?🤔
