You know whats funny, I have heard of Super Robot Wars before Z2 and when I heard about it, I decided to check it out, and I never knew it was a crossover game. After watching this, I recognized a bunch of mechs i realized, such as Gurren Lagann, Big O, Dai Guard, Wing, Eureka 7, and Getter Robo. As soon as I saw them together, I realized what the game really was about, and of course, i had what some people call, a GARgasm XP

@@yade1234 I still have fond? memories of finally beating Wodan in Thrudgelmir in OG2. That jerk handed me my ass so many times. Also, I am eternally glad that Alfimi eventually made it into the regular cast, even though getting her ending in OG2nd was such a pain.
@@dscrye Fr, not knowing the basics made that game tough, I reached that stage with Axel and Vysaga boy, i remember shooting everything at him and he regenerated everything, i didn't know anything like terrain ratings etc, had to use cheats from there. On the other hand played the ps2 ogs after some 7 years and it was a breeze.
@@yade1234 Axel is just obnoxious, in general. Enemy or friend, gameplay or cutscene, dude's such a jackass. Soulgain and Vysaga are both very cool, though. Really glad Lamia got Vysaga; she's great, but I've never liked Angelg much. Additionally: all hail the mighty S-Adapter, and its multipliers!
If u watched the animes, u kinda get the idea. You can even imagine what's going on just with the event unit. I dont know any japanese and had a lot of fun with these games :D
Don't forget about Elder God Demonbane. And maybe Ideon. and @ispitfire1 the scene when they started fighting using galaxies as weapons was in a space created by the Anti-Spiral, not the universe. In ours, they'd be the size of Jupiter, maybe bigger, bot not much.
i want a ps3 SRW game, but with the go nagai robots, not those generic anime guys from infinite gen or whatever. and without the ugly squished in art direction. that has single handedly made me not even try the SRW games. give us some great and z mazinger action. but, you know what i TRULY want? capcom x namco x sega x go nagai, that plays like Project x zone, but with higher quality graphics, WAY longer, at leat twice, and more moves. Would you imagine having x, zero, kos-mos, dante, koji kabuto, tetsuya, jin, devilman, cutie honey, morrigan and lady valkirie in the SAME GAME??? maybe later, a fighting game off of it. namco makes the RPG, capco the Figther.

So far I've mostly played J and αG, due to their english translations, and A portable using guides and picking on the story from fan forums. I have passed on the official OGs because they have story elements from other SRWs I haven't played yet. I consider αG's story really good, specially good if you played α before it (I'm waiting on the patch for it to be finished), I don't know what to say without spoiling anything, but the way they weaved the stories from the mechas into the plot on αG was very entertaining and well done. J's, while a bit convoluted and generic at first, picks up before the halfway point of the game.
Also, I'm not saying your opinion is invalid or bad or anything, it's just that SRW has been a great source of cool and awesome stuff for me during this year and it's kinda sad someone is not enjoying it as well as I have. Got me watching all the mecha shows since MS Gundam 0079 and Mazinger Z all the way to Unicorn and SKL.

So what mecha would be more powerful than Gurren Lagan that has the potential to combine with infinite amounts of machines eventually reaching a size capable of throwing Galaxies like a Frisbee? O_O
2 words: Licensing issues.... Basically, in Japan, nearly every single franchise is owned by -maybe- a handful of companies; whereas in the States, it's a train-wreck of different companies owning the various shows...and getting them to play nice with each other sometimes isn't easy...and it's NEVER cheap...this is supposedly why SRW-W(2007 - Nintendo DS) didn't quite make it, despite the inclusion of GoLion(Voltron)....
Can somebody explain me why chibi? WHY CHIBI? In mu opinion, it looks so awful with mechas, I think the "normal version" would have made this game incredibly epic. Chibis just make this look so cartonish or childish.

The friggin text window during animations should be green/cyanide while it's violet. Dude. In Hakai-Ken there is Tetsujin (aka: Gigantor). He is present in the intro, while there he's not. Plus there is also Gundam Exia, while in Hakai-Ken intro, there is 00. As well there is also Gurren Lagann with the Gunmen that makes his Jetpack in the Hakai-Ken intro, while here, he hasn't it on. IT'S THE FRIGGIN SAISEN-HEN INTRO NOT THE HAKAI-KEN ONE!!! This was the first main series SRW I played (other than OG & OG2). I still have such fond memories. Maybe, I should dig up my PSP and play it again.

Yes. The Gundam Meisters had to carry out missions on foot sometimes in the anime so they had to hide their Gundams.
