2024 First State Airshow - Patrick McAlee

Patrick McAlee, who utilizes ExtremeFlight for most of his social media account and also uses @PatrickMcAlee for video, takes the stage with a beautiful aerobatic performance in his Pitts. He even challenged Eric Nelson of @precisionexotics8828 to a race in a red Porsche.
This is the first airshow with a new video camera and while the output in the eyepiece looked fine, much of the video is not. As in past videos from the last 24+ years I've shot using manual focus set out to infinity. At certain zoom the picture is fine and once you go all the way in, you lose a considerable amount of sharpness. I had no idea about this until I downloaded the video off the card. Video from Thursday and Friday were shot in manual focus and Saturday and Sunday was shot in auto focus.
The 2024 First State Airshow took place at Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware on May 18-19, 2024. The video here was shot on Sunday May 19, 2024.

The rate applies only to music broadcast over the public address system during the air show portion of the program and does not provide the air show with the right to use pre-recorded music at concerts or other non-air show special events held in conjunction with the air show.
