Walking in a gorgeous "underwater" environment. This game is knocking it out in environmental, sound and character design. The combat looked fierce and the chemistry great between the fellowship. This game should be on everyone's radar.

This looks SOOO much better than turn based games I’ve seen recently. The graphics are incredible and there’s actually a nice 3rd person view for when you’re exploring instead of the Birds Eye view. I’d actually buy this game

This game really is the best of every world : - Japanese style turn-based strategy with timed input to make it more dynamic ; - Unnecessary spectacular moves from the characters and a reactive camera like America's best action movies ; - French contemplating moments and inspiring, beautiful environments. But we really know it's French above all when we hear 5:19 !
Turn based isn't Japanese. The concept was created by Gary Gygax in 1971 when it came to video games. All turn based games are based on DnD and are just put into video form.

I've got to admit it looks impressive. The atmosphere, gameplay, attack options, dialogue, graphics, voice-acting, style, music, and enemies. It's been a while to see something this immersive.
my only feedback is that when not moving everyone is just standing upright stiff. they need an attack battle animation like ffX or OW animation. itll make it look less fan made lol
The running animation is the only thing that needs serious work (stride is too short and arms are too high up like they're held to their chest), but the rest looks amazing. Nice world design and great UI in combat. Having a turn-based game that doesn't have the usual anime style is very refreshing.
Someone already talked about it, and we think she was hurt in that scene, which is why she walked so awkwardly (you can see one of her feet was bandaged). This was because the other characters' walking/running didn't stand out.
This looks very interesting. Usually I'm not a fan of turn-based games at all but the fast, snappy movements between action selects and the attacks makes it look cool and stylish.
i grew up playing turn based rpgs im so glad that the genre is being modernized, so hype for this game for now ill settle with Metaphor Refantazio and DQ3

As an American i always wondered how beautiful the remaining marveouls building are in france and whole europe and how it shares the same architectural characteristics and details in America too !! Then i started to research who build them and why they are so huge and every now and then a building catches fire like notre dame de paris or the exchange building in Netherlands the past April 🤨 !! Something is fishy…they want to destroy the old world !! Watch everyone the documentary OLD WORLD ORDER.

The world of expedition 33 kinda hits that one itch. You know, when you have been dreaming of mystical and alien worlds in your sleep and wake up sad, because you know that memory will slowly start to fade? I feel like this game hits exactly that spot, where you can just feel in awe and curiosity, especially because we haven't really seen a world presented like this. This is 100% gonna be an instant-buy next year! Can't wait ♥

This looks fantastic. Combat mechanics of timed button presses means you can't just button mash through encounters without thinking. Reminds me of legend of dragoon, lost odyssey, and like a dragon. Very hyped.
im so glad a game other than mario rpgs and persona (there are probably others but these are like the main 2 i've seen do this) is understanding that you dont need to abandon the entire concept of turn based combat to draw in people who dont normally like that type of gameplay style. i hope the "more accessible" gameplay style of dq12 is like this and not like modern final fantasy

This game looks excellent! You can tell they put flourish in every bit of it. From the character designs, to the menus and UI, and small touches that just add to the style.
They mastered the action RPG gameplay with the ATB bar system from older FF with FF7 Remake and Rebirth, something they always wanted to achieve. I don't see them going to turn-based at all but who knows

This looks AMAZING! i'm so glad to see turn based coming to life with great graphics! I miss the days where turn based combat rpgs were common place and were some of the best games of the generation i.e ff7,8,9,10 etc. now those games are becoming action combat like everything else and thus have lost a lot of their relevancy. This game is a breath of fresh air and I for one can not wait to play it. :)
If I may make one critical remark, I find the sound effects in combat repetitive and overstimulating. There are a lot of sounds like clashing swords, and I expect them to get old very fast. Even dodging is paired with a metal sound. More variety, with some crunchier and softer sounds, would be very welcome.
