Buying mystery is the notorious scam of some one tricking a buyer into paying for a lot of worthless trash 😂 NEVER BUY MYSTERY. Automatic rip off. Crumbling a pokemon lovers excitement up into a pile of wigletts lmao

Or the seller advertises exactly what the contents were the mystery will pictures of the cards in there ie pictures of the slabs raw cards and booster packs. I agree majority are deceptive in what is in the bags/boxes. I am someone that is attempting my mystery bag and the biggest thing I’ve received opinion wise is make sure the value is there ie if you’re selling a bag for 50 make sure value is there most eBay sellers that did them had some horrible odds like 30 dollar bags with a floor of 8 or 12 bucks and a ceiling of 175ish out of a 100 bags 30 of them were equal or greater value the other 70 bags were the bottom value. In my opinion if a risk is being made on a purchase in my opinion the most you should lose out on in a mystery bag is 15-20% meaning you get at least 80% of your money back. Getting less than 30% of your money back will definitely make you not spend anymore with that seller.

Its good to have videos like this showing what bad mystery products are out there and what you might get out of them. I personally would just stick with official booster packs, they're enough of a mystery product for me.

I’d like to see a video where you do order with your name just to see if you do get better pulls. That would give more insight to the quality of these products
it's good to see a youtuber that's showing what can actually happen with these types of products, not many do that. Plus it's very entertaining!
I avoid these things in general. I explain to my son that you have to watch out for scams. He's learning at an early age that not everything is what it seems. Good lesson to learn.
I have never bought anything that said mystery on the label ever and I’m still shocked that anyone buys this kind of product.
It’s the element of surprise which is dumb. I bought one mystery slab ONCE for 30$ and it was a rayquazza V that’s worth a 1.50

It’s really sad to see many companies put basic cards in mystery packs that don’t even come to half the value of the pack.

No the official packs are truly random with what cards and fair probability of what you get, some third party companies remove the high rarity and cards from their own custom made packs so you literally have no chance of winning.

@@mng8680 I wouldnt exactly call it fair probability. The probabilities are made to profit. Thats why so many people have so much bulk. And do we really need energies in every pack these days? Everyone has a box full and more. From ETB's etc. I feel that its time that Pokemon can sell those separate and make packs better with some guaranteed hits. Might be a .50 cent card. Might be a 100 card. All in all in the end they still make their money. Just make these damn sets a little easier for the kids to finish collecting. The game in my opinion has gotten away from kids and all around the scammyness of gambling.
This is the best indirect advertising for your own product ever. Showcase all the scam products out there so everyone knows where to buy genuine mystery packs. PokéRev? More like PokéGenius!
The only "Mystery" packs I've seen you open that have been good that from ebay/amazon have been those "Iconic Mystery Boxes".
I can never bring myself to buy anything from Amazon 🙏
Worst part with Amazon direct they ship Booster boxes, ETB's and UPC's in bags so if you collect sealed the product always has some sort of dents or tearing. 3rd party sellers get away with murder by opening product and barely reseal and ship it to amazon to fulfil. Amazon doesnt bother checking so even after they get caught and someone leaves a negative review amazon removes the negative review and leaves the same generic auto generated response. "This item was fulfilled by Amazon, and we take responsibility for this fulfillment experience". And nothing happens to the seller and it keeps the ratings high.

and what company might that be?
Hint: you should screenshot/save photos of their “could get rare cards” picture and reverse search to see if they have pulled it from somewhere else to claim they have them. It’s a red flag if they did pull it from another listing or google images.

So you say that getting $15 worth of cards from a $45 mystery box is a scam, but you also sell your own mystery packs with 5 boosters for $50…

I don’t have anything against that, it’s a gamble for the buyer and a business for the seller and I’m ok with that, but why trashing other mystery packs while selling the same product?
Amazon really needs to put a stop to this scaming...

Got an idea for multiple videos where you do this same type of video but you actually let them know who you are and see what you get. Maybe even in the same video buy with an alias and compare.
There’s a reason that I don’t like buying things that aren’t sold directly but Amazon.
Recently, Amazon itself got into the Pokémon market in Germany. Many original products, good prices. In fact, e.g. 151 tins are significantly cheaper there atm.
Let's be clear. Mystery items are always questionable and could contain anything. Not to justify any of this companies or items but going from packs you sell PokeRev packs for 54.99$ you could get boosters in value of 25$...and going by simple math for higher tiers you are always in plus so it does not make sense for most of the people who buy this product. Everbody who sell this kind of producs are to make money..more or less. You are direct and transparent about the odds so kudos to you, but again it does not make sense for most of people to buy this kind of products.

I’ve been so nervous every time ordering from Amazon especially seeing that they will put their stamp of approval on giving Pokémon products a “second” chance and they were all packs that had been opened and returned
I love graded cards! The itch can be overwhelming!
I work at the amazon warehouse and we get a lot of crazy stuff, but that I know of when I see Pokémon cards they are real from ETB to collection boxes seen graded cards and some packs
i pulled out my binder today and went to a store that buys cards .. sold 8 cards for 50 percent market value so made 65 dollars. Im kinda regretting it now lol.. damn didnt think id have so much sentimental attachment

I wish that these packs would at minimum share the rates and probabilities...any that don't include that really seem to be right on the cusp of being a scam.
mystery boxes seem like such a scam- unless a friend made me a mystery box of just products they bought from an actual card store i don’t think i’d trust it haha

There is nothing I hate more than scammers. Every mystery pack company out there are scammers. No exceptions.
When I first got back into collecting, I started by buying some random stuff on Amazon. Now, when I look back at those same cards, I feel like half of them are bootlegs. They just look weird. Or maybe I'm just jaded & paranoid now. 😂

Mystery boxes aren't usually that mysterious. They're pretty much scams.
I mean that's the point of "mystery". It's basically the same as a lottery. The floor is gonna be super bad, the chase is gonna be super hard to get. And then the average cards are just gonna be meh. It's a way to market products and make money for the business owner. This doesn't even just apply to cards but it applies to many other things like blind box toys, sealed Pokemon TCG packs. I do agree that most of them are kinda "scammy" because the price for it doesn't justify the floor. The better mystery products are ones that the floor isn't too far away. Just remember nothing is too good to be true in life before you buy something. And unless you're willing to gamble and ok with the floor, then don't buy it. Also not everyone reviews products so it's hard to get a completely good idea of the pull rates of these products.
I do enjoy your videos and the fact that you'd get these and open it so people will have some idea of what's inside them before they buy. Appreciate that.

I'm a novice collector, so I appreciate your vids. I learned my lesson not to buy "blind box" amazon listings while collecting funko. Often times you get pure garbage. All your scam vids make me want to stick to walmart and gamestop exclusively. Guess ill never get the older cooler cards.

I've been getting a lot of 151 products on Amazon. I see so many scams, first card was actually kinda dope.
100% agree rev, nowadays all these mystery boxes are simply a cash grab. Value only 25-50% at best of sell price is nuts. Thx for the content!

Yeah I stay away from any mystery box stuff usually never get any value but glad you do these videos to showcase them so people can get a better understanding that most of the time you won't get anything the rare case you might get lucky!

I was coming to say the same thing. Hes saying these are scammy doing pretty much the same thing as he does with his packs. Like a $50 dollar bag to get rid of his extra inventory that is street value $20. His cost maybe $10. I get there are complete scams out there that know they arent seeding exactly what they claim. But then again how does anyone really check his seed levels. Ive seen big openings on his cards and noone gets anything big. Then other big youtubers get big stuff from his. Claiming they all order things anon.. Its why I am completely staying away from the mystery packs. Just not worth it in my opinion.
Something was off about the shining fates pack at 15:22 he got 2 glossifers in the pack, I don’t think that is normal. But I’m not 100% sure could you correct me if I’m wrong

Third party is always a risk, being mystery box is even more risk.
Mystery packs are just an easy way to move junk inventory for a profit.
I got a mystery box one time and they advertised it 1 in 5 chance of having a graded card and a random pack and when I got it the box wasn't even big enough to fit a graded slab in it how they got away with that scam for over a year is beyond me. But I guess whatever they could say that sounds good to the person buying it these scammers will say it.
