These changes are absolutely frightening.
Instead of nerfing some of the best cards in the meta like Teleportation Zombie or Dr Spacetime or Space Cowboy, they decide to nerf some of the worst cards in competitive play in years like Haunted Pumpking and Apple Saucer which see a virtually 0% userate and buff an already viable win condition like Zom-Blob. Not to mention the horrible changes to Blooming Heart and Puff-shroom as well as Photosynthesizer which are clearly balances to nerf them into oblivion instead of making them still viable.
Worst of all, the best class in the entire game right now, the Brainy class, received 0 nerfs and only buffs. This is actually shocking how out of touch the game's developers are.

Well puffshroom was way better than swabbie and goat since plants have team up. It synergized really well with astroshroom in cycle cap while swabbie and goat were not that good. Still terrible change obviously

The game was just barely alive because of content creators without any changes to the game for god know how long. Now just when Fry decided to change his main game to Bloons on TH-cam, they make changes to a nearly dead game.

I hope these people don't launch this. Most of these are stupid and zombies eill become more meta than they already are. I am scared from it and we should let them know they need to stop some of their decisions and redirected into stuff that actually matters like Teleport, Cowboy, Conman, and Spacetime for example
@eslamvszombies1713 i dont get why everyone thinks spacetime is op but never says anything about cucumber. Having to hit face as a non-gravestone zombie virtually never happens if your opponent doesnt want it to unless youre teleporting it in (which you can only do with 2 heroes reliably). Cucumber in the other hand has to be answered with tricks, just sticking a zombie in front of it wont stop it from getting absolutely nutty value, instead it arguably makes it more nutty since its not charging block meter for 1. Also i feel like legendary cards are way more potentially game changing than galactic gardens cards. If your opponent gets a cucumber conjure, now all of a sudden you have to play around brainana, dmd, gatling pea, turn 8 wallnut bowling just off the top of my head, heck technically you should be playing around literally every plant since they could conjure reincarnation. But theres not that many GG cards that have the potential to change the whole course of a game
@@menacing_name Because spacetime costs 2, and cucumber costs 3. Cucumber is too slow, at best you will only have time to get one card. Spacetime is much faster and has good stats. Besides, there are more decks where spacetime is good, and there are none with cucumber. Cuke is good in casual, but garbage in competitive meta, which cannot be said about spacetime

@@menacing_name nibble, rolling stone, extinction event, anything that lowers strength by 1 on the zombies side (which is a lot of cheap tricks). Hell, even some gravestones like landscaper, pied piper, etc. Anything that lowers strength makes super cucumber invalid. You could argue the same about spacetime but there's a lot of cheap ways to raise strength on the zombies side.
@@menacing_nameI agree, Spacetime is literally dogwater unless teleported which is when it can conjure 1 card! (Whoopee). Then, cucumber always manages to get at least 3+ conjures that usually help out to protect it (poppin poppies)

It seems like zomboss has paid EA and popcap to make the zombie army much stronger while the plant army is made weak.
RCCH, you didn't notice, but Triceratops was also nerfed. And very seriously, most likely this card is now useless. Not only does he now die to Plumber, but you also can't buff him with Photosynthesiser (because that card now costs 2). These balance changes are very bad, they made plants very weak and zombies incredibly strong

You know, it's like berry blast and bangee plumber: Yes, they are good, but that doesn't mean they need to be nerfed. That would be amazing, but I doubt they’ll do that. It would be nice though if they did update it at least with new balance changes, since this is the only other PvZ game besides the original that they could possibly update. Everything else is gone due to Seattle shutting down.

Marine Bean buff is busted af. Like you literally can get a 5/5 or 6/6 on turn 3. There was no reason to buff it into a starting base of 3/3

Once i saw blob and swimmer getting stat changes, i instantly lost all faith in this balance update. They didn't even rework any of the cards just flipped the cost and stat numbers and that's it?
Why are people saying zombies will be "even more meta"? Almost every single PvZH tournament has come back with like a 60% WR for plants and 40% for zombies. Zombies were the worse half

Looking at the win rates of top level play isnt very indicative of the rest of the game, and just because something is good in comp doesnt mean its good in casual. TF2 made the mistake of nerfing weapons to appease the comp players and in the process completely killing weapons that already werent used very much in casual
@@menacing_name I mean they have the WR data, 6 years of it in fact. If at high level plants are substantially better, I wouldn't be surprised if the same is at least partially true on ladder. If they buffed zombies, they most likely had the stats to back it up

-Guardian is dead
-Solar early game is dead
-Swash buckler stonks are super high
-it's pogo -> Mug -> garg feet
-Block Buster is nerfed as all of Guardian is Nerfed
Mind you, the devs have the WR%, and have had it for YEARS up until this point. Even if a change might be weird for "pro" level, they wouldn't make these changes if they didn't have a consistently overlt high/low WR for the last 5 years.
But the changes still suck tho. Plant side and zombie side were similarly good and even if plants had a bit more overall win rate, making so many cards practically useless and not buffing cards that no one were using. I don't think they give a fuck about this game or the balance of cards when they basically forgot to even reset the seasons for weeks
@@iker9095 No one ruins a game on purpose, no one makes the balance worse on purpose unless there is some extremely lucrative monetary incentive, which there isn't really in this case.
I agree some changes do suck, but idt it's fair to also completely ignore the good changes. Cob is good, Carrot is good, photo is harsh but it was too good at 1, gadget scientist is good, pogo is good because pogo MUG is still busted against every none guardian hero, Grave Robber is good, Electrician is something at least, and I'm sure there are some more idr off of the top of my head. To say the game will be dead after this is hyperbolic
@@SkarjOS they made brainy more broken than it is, solar is dead unless you play heal decks, guardian got a lot worse and there are probably more bad classes on the plant side. The only real buffs the plant side have are amphibious and invasive species, now it’s all amphibious and heal decks on the plant side since most aggro cards are dead while tricarrotops and photo are also bad now. The zombies got the most buffs and least nerfs, brainy is the absolute best class and dominant now; beastly and crazy are also better overall. They restricted half of the plant decks while making zombies completely dominant

I like how buckethead was completely overshadowed by bonus track, cuz theyre literally the same card but BTB has an ability and BH doesnt. Other than that, same stats, cost and class. Now they made BTB straight up better in stats as if bucket boi wasnt useless enough. Also who runs bananas in megagrow decks apart from brex 😭

I mean..Grass Fuckles is finally not the meta. Some changes are weird af but I’m happy that some plants got deserved nerfs like Tricarrotrops and Cob Cannon. Some shit is nutty though like the leftovers and cat lady buff
this update has split opinions for me, for one, this will heavily shift the meta, which is both good and bad, good because it will allow a more diverse and interesting use for underused cards (for example the sizzle 3 cost which is basically the plant fruitcake now) but shit like 1 cost puff shroom, 3/1 zapricot and 2/2 black eyed pea is such a damn HORRIBLE change, they also basically killed guardian package which i don't know what to say about that, Personally this will interestingly change the meta (BUT WITH A HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF NOT ACTUALLY BEING GOOD. ZOMBIES GAINED ZERO MEANINGFUL NERFS. THESE LOOK AI GENERATED., can't fully tell since there's so much damn changes that it's hard to notice the ACTUALLY USEFUL changes, such as Laser cattail being insane now
