Hey! We were next door in Murdock Basin around the lakes that same day and a touch later. Had to hightail it out once we noticed the smoke. Thankfully, it didn't spread to Murdock, but still really rough how much burned...
As @CDNJEEPOVERLAND noted, your content is so much more than an ad for MO Summit. I do like to refer to your channel for ways to "tweak" my Summit's setup, etc, but mostly I watch your channel because you make great vids! That campsite at 6:03 was epic, but I'd be worried about wandering around in the dark under the influence of adult beverages..... It truly is a blessing that you dodged the fire, too! Please keep putting out the great vids, and maybe we can meet up along the road somewhere.
We appreciate the feedback! Don't worry, Lissa kept me from getting too close to the edge after dark. That fire weighed heavy on us for a few days. We may have driven right into it had we stayed another night. It's such a beautiful area, too bad one mans decision can create such a loss. Propane fire pits - safe, cheaper overall, takes up less space and you don't have to worry about where the wood comes from. Thanks again, we will see you out there!
I have to assume your channel is eventually going to blowup (in a good way), so I thought I’d leave a comment when your subs are still in the 200’s. I was initially looking for independent MO Summit reviews that don’t play like an ad, but stayed for your sense of humor and entertaining adventures. Keep on keepin’ on! Oh, and no Summit for me… yet 😂
@cdnjeepoverland Hey thanks! We started this channel just to show our friends and family what we were up to... and gripe about that Opus Lite. I don't think it will blow up anytime soon as we don't have enough epic music, caves, abandoned cabins or recoveries. It would be cool to do this for a living but like anything, doing it all the time would take the romance out of it, you know? We're just happy to have a few people enjoy it! Good luck on your search for a trailer!
@@thistediouspath appreciate the reply - can you think of any reason I shouldn’t buy a Summit? I’m in the market for a slightly used unit - of course there’s the potential for leaks with the canvas, but I really like the ability to stand and even convert the bed to a table vs the usual teardrop or crawl in type of off grid trailers. Oh, and as far as video content, I don’t need any drama thanks very much… just great scenery and everyday life on the road.
@cdnjeepoverland I hear ya, we like predictability and having a plan. If our videos are boring to the masses, they can always click over to the bigger channels. I see a 2022 Summit on RvTrader right now for 22k. Not sure where it is and I'm guessing you're in Canada so that might be a hurdle. I don't have any complaints about our Summit itself. The Truma Combi hot water/heater can be finicky but that's not Missions fault. We have had zero problems with the canvas leaking or anything. That reminds me, we should probably reseal it. Other than minor dust ingress in a few spots, we have no deal breaker problems. I'll say yes, they are pricy, but as always you get what you pay for. Stay tuned, working on another video as I type this!
