      After the New Year festivities and for a few weeks, people rest a little longer, but from February (with Carnival) the animation grows. Thanks for the comment.

    A wonderful town! Are there sharks, sea snakes, poisonous jellyfish?

    • @albertocarvalho1961
      @albertocarvalho1961  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Albufeira is spectacular. There are no sharks or sea snakes. Jellyfish appear very rarely and on these occasions lifeguards warn. Thanks for your comment.

    Hi we have been looking at coming to Portugal for the first time, and we was wondering if it's got a strip of shops and restaurants, we hope you don't mind me asking you. Thank you.

    • @albertocarvalho1961
      @albertocarvalho1961  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comment. In Portugal and more specifically in the Algarve, all cities have areas or strips with many shops and restaurants, namely Albufeira, Lagos, Portimão, Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António.
      In big cities like Lisbon (including Cascais and Sintra) or Porto there are even more areas or strips with many shops and restaurants.
      Added to all of this is the natural friendliness of the Portuguese who love to welcome everyone.

    Do you have recommendations where to stay in Albufeira?

    • @albertocarvalho1961
      @albertocarvalho1961  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have any specific hotel, they are all good, but I advise you to stay close to one of the several beaches in Albufeira and if you like a lot of nightlife then stay close to Praia dos Pescadores, next to the historic center of Albufeira. But if you stay a little further away, there is always a good taxi service between this historic center and any other place. Albufeira is very well organized. Have a nice vacation.

    • @albertocarvalho1961
      @albertocarvalho1961  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comment. Normally the temperature in Albufeira at the end of October should be around 25 degrees Celsius, with lots of sun but with night cooling to a temperature around 18 degrees Celsius. It remains a nice place to go on vacation even on that date.

      @@sicksquid3258 No, just need to fine them 100 euros like we do in Mallorca. Some people think they can do whatever they like when they are on holiday and have no consideration for others and need to understand that they can´t just do whatever they feel like.
