So after looking back I actually got my protest vote wrong🤦‍♂️. I was sure that you had to crossed from top to bottom, corner to corner and write the word NONE. After uploading I double checked my information only to find out that you are meant to put one diagonal line across the voting box and place the word NONE across the card. I'm hoping that what I've done is still counted as a protest vote. This is something that I believe should receive more coverage on the lead up to elections here in the UK. However it is something that is never discussed and also seems that many people (including myself) are unclear of exactly how to do this correctly.
