Excellent video! Please keep these coming! I can’t wait to get hold of Alliance myself, sadly they seem to be impossible to get in the UK. Found only one shop offering pre-orders with a non-committal ‘coming soon’ and I’ve reached out and asked my favourite shop about the game, they promised to stock it when the game reaches UK. Seems like for now they can’t even place orders! I don’t know what the hell Wizkids are doing, you would think supplying a product to customers who want to pay for it would be a priority but you’d be wrong, it seems they’re up to their usual incompetence level that almost killed off the main game! I mean, I had to resort to taking a screenshot of the AI Logic Card and we’re using that on our phones to roll for the bugs. Unfortunately this is not at all designed for new players to Attack Wing. I imagine this makes sense to existing players, but doesn’t help new people to the platform.
Question. In star trek alliance. Once you get upgrade cards for your ship, can you swap them out on your next mission or do you stick with them through the entire storyline?
I just noticed there a star trek unopened in the background. what store is that. I'm looking for brand new voyager 50th edition. does the store have it?
What about using the other ships? It says you can use them at a certain CS level but are they in lieu of the ones in alliance or in addition to? So you run three instead of two or swap one out for the other...not sure if I’m making sense 🤔
There is a list of ships you are able to play based on your Captain skill you will need to get them from your flgs or the internet but support your flgs

Sorry to be negative but this was NOT a good How to Play video. I came to the interweb knowing nothing to little about this game (I have played Attack Wing once, years ago). First thing this vid starts with is enemy AI and talking about Captain skill and that spoiler, you will attack first? I’m thinking what the hell are you talking about? What is a captain skill? Who is YOU in this sentence (since YOU are having to control both sides)? This video seems like a clarification video on the finer points of STA and NOT a how to play vid. Start with the victory conditions (scenario wins), talk about the movement system, talk about what a roll even means. There is zero way that I could use this vid to learn ‘How to Play” STA.
@@steveoh9285 I think the video was made for Attack Wing players who were looking for the differences between that and Alliance. As someone who spent years playing Attack Wing, I found it very helpful, but I can definitely see how someone who knows nothing about the game system would be very confused by this.
It's absolutely ridiculous how you need to use rulers just to place and maneuver ships. This is such a turn off that as much as I love Star Trek, I won't be getting this. They couldn't include some kind of tailored game board with it? Crazy.
Every mission is a different setup though. you would need a separate board for each mission if it was done that way. It is really simple to just measure out the things at setup. After a game or two, you don't even think about it. I played Attack wing for several years and even the OP tournaments had similar setup things for events. Star Wars X-Wing (which this game is based off the rules set for) uses the exact same system for setting up maps. A set board would defeat the whole purpose of the game being so versatile and you being able to set it up differently every time you play (or for each different scenario in Alliance's case).

You may swap your upgrades out each mission.

there is no rules for them but you can
Why does the AI card have more then one dice for some moverners? Do you use more then one dice?
It depends where your ship to the bug then you roll a d6 on the chart to see what they do
