- House update number 4 and @thisisashville have finally poured the swimming pool slab. All structural steels are in place and the foundations for the new front extention are complete.
The 1st fix of plumbing and electrical are completed on the top floor and 90%'ish on the 1st floor.

The type of sand used
Concrete is a mix of sand cement and stone cement is just cement used in mortar and other aspects of building

There’s definitely 2m wide electric double sided fireplaces on the market. We’ve used them on projects as far back as 4/5 years ago. Yian, surprised you’re not going for a fish tank in the wall! ;)

You don't always need doors around the staircase, you can introduce a sprinkler system as an alternative if you wanted to maintain the open living
You also only need a protected stair where the floors are above 4.5m above ground. So any 3 storey house basically. That said, using fire doors is far better for nice weighted feel even if you don’t need them.

Hi yan you iam currently fitting a dimplex ignite xl 74in , they also do it in a 100 inch ,,,this is an American unit and is by far the best looking flame you can get its only 6 inches deep ...it isn’t see through but because it is so thin you could have 2 units back to back as they are reasonable priced high end considering how good they look.. you could box them in and have a section of the wall all around the units in glass so you would see through the wall itself and have the units appear like they are floating in glass wall ... hope you like my idea would look mega cheers angelo ( shout out to alter ego barbershop congleton)

It's great to see the relationship you and Daniel have cause I did business with a good friend of mine once, and I haven't been paid till this day, but because I valued the relationship more so sadly I took that hit and just took it as a lesson to not do business with friends unless they are SERIOUS

Slide & Stack doors are really good!! Stack outside no visible hinges, can have blinds within the glass & can position each panel except the entry door anywhere along the rails! Should have a look for sure!

Bioethanol fireplaces are the one you want mate saves electric and looks amazing
I have a big 1200mm curved one , kicks out about 4kw , only downside is burns 1litre of fuel in a hour and fuel has shot up in price lately
