    I think the scary part is it's so difficult to read when he's going to use drop shot, even as a viewer. Imagine a player actually facing him trying to read his drop shot

    I was about to say that Carlos only does DS with forehand. Then he also showed he can do it with his backhand. he does have the complete game.

      I was about to say the same thing. I do think out of the better known players, Djokovic and Federer have/had amazing backhand dropshots. Carlos's forehand ds is better than Djokovic's, imo tho.

    the secret to Carlos dropshot success is that, besides being so well executed and disguised in itself, he has a MASSIVE forehand that pushes his opponent far from the baseline. And when opponents are mentally and positionally prepared for a massive forehand Carlos gives them a delicate dropshot which is just so difficult to get to.

    • @rialzito
      @rialzito ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah It's the same strategy as Nick Kyrgios's underhand serve, he has a massive serve, the opponent is always far behind and he takes advantage of this to make a weak serve

      Nah! Federer's were untouchable in terms of beauty and finesse. Especially from the bh side! Alcaraz uses it more often though. It's a bigger part of his game than it was for Roger. Mc Enroe's and Rafa's (especially 2013 onwards) are/were artists with the ds as well.
