    I took these for 3 months for irregular periods the last 3 years. I ended up pregnant.... but I think I'm now miscarrying....but the fact that I got a positive pregnancy test is beyond my imagination.

    Can you speak to the 40:1 myo vs Ovasitol? Seems like more people in the PCOS community prefer ovasitol. But Is there a true difference? Also if a doctor has confirmed through labs and ultrasound that you are ovulating on your own without medication and all labs are within range,what would be next steps then?

    I thought I became insulin resistant after I gained 10-15 pounds after my miscarriage in December 2020. After seeing my primary care doctor, she confirmed I was insulin resistant and I started taking Metformin recently. Thank you for taking your time to make this video for us.

      Some people have underlying insulin resistance or diabetes that is brought out after pregnancy! We think there’s a little genetics involved. I had gestational diabetes so sure I’m a little insulin resistant too!

    Hello Metformin worked for me but was a bit long. Got pregnant after one year. I took 1000mg every night even through I’m not overweight, having period every month but had a lot of follicles in my ovaries and diagnosed with pre diabetes….

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m glad you were able to get pregnant! Sorry it took longer. Some people have a genetic disposition to be insulin resistant as compared to others. Like myself - I had gestational diabetes and high cholesterol with normal body weight 🥴

    I’m going to be 57 next month and my joints aren’t what they used to be. Losing weight gets harder and harder the older you get and pcos isn’t helping. I’m a nurse and work 3rd shift. Lots of stress on top of all this. You said weight training is probably better. How much weight would you recommend and how many times a week. Please let me know. TY

    If PCOS is at it's core an insulin resistance and hormone dysregulation, should an endocrinologist be involved in management?

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, many people see endocrinology. But just like how an endocrinologist manages patients with diabetes, not every diabetic has to see an endocrinologist. Depends on complexity and severity.

    What if we wanted to use MI but I am not interested in preparing for a pregnancy? I know i tried it and it gave me a boost in energy, I got a lot more done, I dressed up...metformin, spironolactone, and BC was what I have been using and MI felt like rocket fuel. I was wondering if there was some way to counteract the Period Kickstarting effects of MI and get the other results?

    Question, can Letrozole be used to help induce a period/ ovulation cycle and not for pregnancy purposes?
