Like you I have tried several methods to organize. I like the idea of capturing everything in an image to easily refer back to.

It's a nice blend of analog and digital!

Love the analog + digital system. Hard to beat the satisfaction of turning ideas into physical sketches that live in the real world on paper. I love my iPad and digital note taking but my preference is still to sketch out initial ideas on paper or whiteboard. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks John! I agree about the satisfaction of working with pen and paper. And having the option to go digital when needed is great too!

Love your simple setup. It's very easy to get sucked into productivity and organisation for the sake of it, I think how simple you've kept your Notion aspect is important.
As something unrelated to this video - do you use use your visual approach for more unconventional use cases? particularly something like, planning out your week for example? For me, I often find a written plan of action either goes out the window once the week hits, or it doesn't stick / resonate very well. I'd be interested in any kind of video you have along these lines.

Thanks Richard! In the past I've used sticky notes for planning - here are a few examples: Single-Tasking with Sticky Notes (th-cam.com/video/B8bWBhFku4g/w-d-xo.html) and Project Management with Sticky Notes. And then this framework for longer-term goals has also been helpful: How to Set Goals (th-cam.com/video/-qoCg5-NIPA/w-d-xo.html).

@@verbaltovisual Awesome - I like the idea of using sticky notes and I found your goals video very interesting. I've often tried to intuit my goals in some kind of mind map / flow chat, but it always either derails or withers away. I like the structure of this method!
Also, great work by the way, you're doing us visual thinkers a real service with what you have to share. With so much emphasis on written text in learning, I feel you're providing for a greatly underserved audience.
It's really interesting to see your journey too. For example, I love how you've discovered and highlighted the benefits to working larger in your The First Principles of Visual Note-Taking video, involving your body more in the action of note taking - these little nuances are really compelling!
